2027 Zeekr 7X: MIIT filing details new 85 kWh Golden Brick battery option ahead of Q4 China launch

China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has released its latest vehicle filing catalogue on 8 September, revealing details of the upcoming 2027 Zeekr 7X.

The updated electric SUV brings new exterior and interior colour combinations, while the biggest highlight is the addition of a new 85kWh Golden Brick Battery version. The refreshed model is expected to launch as early as the fourth quarter of 2026.

Exterior and interior

The 2027 Zeekr 7X retains the closed-off front-end design, featuring the familiar full-width light bar with the headlights integrated into the lighting module.

The lower section of the front bumper features a silver trim element, while the traditional grille has been removed to create a cleaner and more futuristic appearance.

From the side, the SUV keeps its smooth and rounded profile, complemented by flush door handles, black wheel arch cladding and a two-tone roof.

A roof-mounted LiDAR sensor and other perception hardware are clearly visible, while silver side skirts and large multi-spoke wheels add a sportier touch.

At the rear, the full-width taillight design continues, flanked by bumper-mounted reflectors and accented by a silver faux rear diffuser at the base.

According to the option list from the filing, Zeekr will offer a wide range of personalisation choices, including different wheel designs, brake caliper colours, bumper styles, two-tone roof combinations, roof racks, tailgate designs, exterior badges, B-pillar trims, side decorations and mirror designs.

The vehicle may also offer an ETC onboard toll device for the Chinese market.

Dimensions and cabin space

The 2027 Zeekr 7X measures 4,825 mm long, 1,930 mm wide and 1,666 mm tall (or 1,656 mm depending on specification), with a 2,925 mm wheelbase.

The SUV offers a five-seat layout, with front and rear track widths measuring 1,649 mm and 1,654 mm respectively. Approach and departure angles are both rated at 19 degrees, while tyre options include:

  • 255/50 R19
  • 265/45 R20
  • 265/40 R21

Powertrain: New 85 kWh battery option

Under the bonnet, the updated Zeekr 7X is equipped with a drive motor supplied by Quzhou Jidian Electric Vehicle Technology. The motor (model TZ230XYC04) delivers a maximum output of 370 kW (503 PS).

The biggest change comes from the battery lineup. In addition to the existing options, the 2027 model introduces a new version fitted with an 85 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, supplied by Zhejiang Jiyao Tongxing Energy Technology.

For the China-spec model, all variants will also come standard with an Event Data Recorder (EDR). Top speed is rated at 240 km/h.
