Avatr 07L EREV details revealed in Chinese regulatory filings

The range-extender version of the Avatr 07L has appeared in China's latest Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) vehicle approval filings. The model is confirmed to use a 1.5-litre turbocharged range-extender system.

The Avatr 07L EREV retains the brand's signature design, with its sharp split headlights and closed-off front grille.

At the rear, a full-width horizontal LED light bar runs across the tailgate, keeping the overall look clean and streamlined.

The SUV measures 4,910 mm long, 1,980 mm wide and 1,650 mm or 1,670 mm tall, depending on the configuration. Its wheelbase is 2,990 mm.

The front overhang measures 902 mm and the rear overhang 1,018 mm. The approach and departure angles are 18 and 21 degrees respectively. Kerb weight is listed at 2,380 kg, while gross vehicle weight is 2,755 kg.

The powertrain details are among the key information disclosed in the filing.

The Avatr 07L EREV uses a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine, codenamed JL469ZQ1, supplied by Chongqing Changan Automobile Co., Ltd. The engine has a displacement of 1,497cc and produces a maximum power output of 110 kW, with a maximum net output of 105 kW.

The SUV uses a dual-motor setup, with a 131 kW front motor and a 231 kW rear motor. The battery pack uses lithium iron phosphate (LFP) chemistry.
