Bermaz launches all-new 2026 Mazda CX-5 MHEV, priced from RM 163k

Bermaz Auto Philippines, the official distributor of Mazda vehicles in the Philippines, has launched the all-new 2026 Mazda CX-5 in the country.

At launch, the company is offering the all-new Mazda CX-5 with the naturally-aspirated 2.5-litre SkyActiv-G four-cylinder petrol engine mated to a mild-hybrid (MHEV) system. Combined system output is rated at 181 PS and 242 Nm. As before, a six-speed automatic transmission takes care of shifting duties.

The third-generation CX-5 adopts Mazda's latest interpretation of its Kodo design language, bringing a sharper and more contemporary appearance.

Up front, the SUV gets slimmer LED daytime running lights and redesigned LED headlights, accompanied by a more aggressive bumper and grille treatment. The rear features slim LED taillights, dual exhaust outlets and increased use of gloss-black trim across the exterior.

Mazda Philippines lists six exterior colours: Navy Blue Mica, Soul Red Crystal, Rhodium White, Machine Gray, Jet Black and Aero Gray.

The biggest change inside the CX-5 is the adoption of a new minimalist dashboard dominated by a 15.6-inch central touchscreen.

The display handles a wide range of vehicle functions and features a customisable home screen, Google Built-in, as well as wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Unlike previous Mazda models, the new CX-5 also does away with the brand's familiar rotary controller, with Mazda instead relying on touchscreen and voice controls.

The driver gets a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and head-up display, while higher-end equipment includes ventilated and electrically adjustable front seats with driver memory, tan leather upholstery, a powered tailgate, a 12-speaker Bose sound system, a 360-degree camera and a sunroof.

The new CX-5 also receives a comprehensive suite of Mazda i-Activsense driver assistance systems.

These include Front and Rear Smart Brake Support, enhanced Blind Spot Monitoring, Driver Monitoring and Attention Alert, Cruising and Traffic Support with Lane Change Assist, as well as Mazda Radar Cruise Control with Emergency Lane Keeping.

For Philippine buyers, Mazda is offering the CX-5 with a three-year bumper-to-bumper warranty and a complimentary five-year service plan.
