Chery unveils 2026 Paris Motor Show line-up featuring the Chery Q EV and Tiggo 4 Hybrid

Chery will bring two new models to the 2026 Paris Motor Show, which opens on 12 October.

The Chery Q EV, a small electric car designed for urban use, will make its European debut, while the Tiggo 4 HEV will make its official French debut at the event. The latter will go on sale from €23,990 (approximately RM 109,794).

The two models will be displayed in Hall 4 alongside Chery's existing French line-up, including the Tiggo 7 Hybrid, Tiggo 7 PHEV and Tiggo 8 PHEV. The Tiggo 4 HEV will also open for orders on the first day of the show.

Chery Q EV

The Chery Q EV is aimed at drivers looking for a small electric car for everyday city use. Its rounded exterior gives way to a cabin with 38 storage compartments, while luggage space totals 445 litres across the 375-litre rear boot and 70-litre front boot.

The car also supports vehicle-to-load (V2L), so its battery can supply power to external electrical equipment — a useful feature for camping and other outdoor activities.

At 4,190 mm long, 1,810 mm wide and with a 2,700 mm wheelbase, the Q EV is larger than the Renault 5 E-Tech electric. Its dimensions put it close to the C-segment, despite its intended role as a city car.

Power comes from a 121 hp electric motor and a 41 kWh battery. Chery quotes a range of up to 400 km, with charging from 30% to 80% taking less than 17 minutes.

The range figure uses the NEDC test cycle, an older standard that is not directly comparable with the WLTP figures used in Europe today.

A launch in France has not been confirmed. Chery says it will use feedback from visitors to the Paris Motor Show to assess local demand before deciding whether to bring the Q EV to the market.

Chery Tiggo 4 HEV

The Tiggo 4 HEV is a smaller SUV than the Tiggo 7 and Tiggo 8 already sold in France. It measures 4,320 mm long, has a 2,610 mm wheelbase and offers 430 litres of boot space.

Its Chery Super Hybrid (CSH) system pairs a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine rated at 143 hp with a 150 kW electric motor and a 1.83 kWh battery. Combined output is 224 hp, with maximum torque of 295 Nm.

In France, the Tiggo 4 HEV starts at €23,990 (approximately RM 109,794). A further €2,000 (around RM 9,154) buys the higher-specification version, which adds electrically adjustable heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, a 360-degree camera system and 50W wireless phone charging.

90 sales outlets in France by year-end

Chery currently operates 56 authorised sales outlets in France and plans to increase the network to 90 by the end of 2026.

The expanded dealer network would give Chery more sales outlets across France as it builds its presence in the European market.
