Sime Darby Auto ConneXion-Ford, the sole distributor of Ford vehicles in Malaysia, is celebrating more than 24,000 Ford Ranger owners nationwide with a series of community activities, off-road experiences and exclusive rewards.
The milestone comes as Auto ConneXion-Ford continues to strengthen its engagement with Ford owners through events such as Ford Nation and Ford Ranger Getaways, while expanding its vehicle line-up to cater to different customer needs.

The Next-Generation Ford Ranger was introduced in Malaysia in 2022 and has since grown its owner base to more than 24,000 customers, with the pickup truck positioned for a variety of uses ranging from work and family activities to recreational and off-road driving.
In early August, Auto ConneXion-Ford held its inaugural Ford Nation gathering at Heritage Valley, Kuala Lumpur, bringing together Ford enthusiasts and their families despite wet weather.

The event featured a barbecue, local food, live performances by Muzza & the Velvettones and Joy Victor, as well as lucky draws, competitions and awards including the Coolest Looking Ranger and Longest Ford Owner categories.
Meanwhile, the latest edition of Ford Ranger Getaways brought together 20 Ranger owners for an off-road-focused experience in Negeri Sembilan.

The participants began their journey in Seremban before travelling in convoy to StarFresh Agro Park, where they took part in a dedicated off-road driving course conducted by a certified trainer.
The programme allowed owners to experience the Ranger's driver-assistance features and off-road controls, alongside team-based challenges and games. The getaway concluded with dinner, live entertainment and giveaways.
Launched in 2022, Ford Ranger Getaways is held quarterly and is designed to bring Ranger owners together through outdoor and adventure-oriented activities.
“This milestone belongs to our customers, whose trust and support have helped build a strong and growing Ford community in Malaysia.
“We are grateful to the more than 24,000 customers who have chosen Ford vehicles since the launch of the Next-Generation Ford Ranger in 2022 and made us part of their everyday lives, whether for work, family or leisure.
“As their expectations continue to evolve, we remain committed to delivering rewarding ownership experiences that extend beyond the vehicle, creating meaningful connections and lasting value throughout their Ford ownership journey,” said Noerel Ismail, Head of Marketing & Communications, Sime Darby Auto ConneXion.
The owner-focused activities come alongside the expansion of Ford's vehicle line-up in Malaysia.
Auto ConneXion-Ford introduced an expanded Ranger range in July, comprising the Ranger Sport 2.0L and 3.0L, and Ranger Platinum 3.0L, alongside the Everest Sport 2.0L and Everest Platinum.
The seven-seat Everest is positioned as a family-oriented SUV, offering greater space and practicality for daily use as well as longer-distance journeys.
Auto ConneXion-Ford has also expanded its aftersales support with the opening of a new parts warehouse in Kota Kinabalu in July. The facility is intended to improve parts availability and reduce service turnaround times for customers in East Malaysia.

The Ford network currently consists of 33 authorised dealers nationwide, including nine sales and service touchpoints across East Malaysia. These comprise seven dealerships and two dedicated service centres, with service support also extended to customers in Kapit and Mukah, Sarawak.
As part of a limited-time launch promotion, customers purchasing selected Ranger variants by 31 August 2026 will also receive additional benefits.

Buyers of the Ranger XL and Ranger Sport 2.0L will receive a complimentary Ford Front HD1080p Dashcam, while customers purchasing the Ranger Sport 3.0L and Ranger Platinum 3.0L will receive a complimentary two-year Basic Extended Service Plan (ESP).
All Ranger variants are backed by Ford's standard five-year warranty.
