Geely enters South Asian market with Pakistan launch, partners with Bestway to introduce three models

Geely has made its debut in Pakistan, launching three models with local partner Bestway. The move also marks the Chinese automaker's first entry into the South Asian market.

The launch line-up comprises the Geely EX5 (Proton eMas 7 in Malaysia), Geely EX2 (Proton eMas 5) and Geely STARRAY EM-R.

Together, the three models give Pakistani buyers a choice of fully electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles, covering different needs and budgets as Geely establishes its presence in the market.

Geely's products for Pakistan will draw on EV technology and smart cockpit systems developed and tested over several years. The company has also taken local driving conditions into account, with specific attention paid to ride comfort and braking performance.

The vehicles meet its global safety standards, while the local adaptations are intended to make them better suited to Pakistan's varied roads and driving conditions.

Bestway will be Geely's local partner in Pakistan. It brings an established nationwide business network and experience in the local market.

The two sides plan to work together on expanding the model line-up, training local staff and improving aftersales support and parts availability. They will also focus on building the Geely brand among Pakistani buyers.

Geely says it sees Pakistan as a long-term market and will develop its business there alongside Bestway, bringing more of its electrified and technology-focused vehicles to local customers.
