Honda Malaysia has opened bookings for the refreshed Honda City, with the popular B-segment sedan gaining a sharper exterior, additional equipment and improved ownership value.
The updated City gets a redesigned front end centred around an integrated headlight design with a full-width light bar. The revised fascia also introduces air curtains for the first time on the model, giving it a wider and sportier appearance.
At the rear, Honda has made further styling changes while retaining the familiar City silhouette. The RS variant is distinguished by new 16-inch milled alloy wheels finished in Berlina Black and Dark Clear.

More importantly, the City e:HEV RS now comes with a 10-inch Display Audio system with Ambient Light, as well as a Multi-View Camera System offering a 360-degree view of the vehicle’s surroundings. These additions should prove useful when manoeuvring in tight urban parking spaces.
Blind Spot Information with Cross Traffic Monitoring is also now offered across all variants, providing an additional warning when changing lanes or reversing out of a parking space.

The New City continues with a choice of petrol and hybrid powertrains.
The 1.5-litre e:HEV combines a petrol engine with an electric motor and e-CVT. Honda quotes 109 PS and 253 Nm from the electric motor, with the system switching between EV, Hybrid and Engine drive modes depending on driving conditions.
For buyers who prefer a conventional petrol setup, the 1.5-litre DOHC i-VTEC engine produces 121 PS and 145 Nm, with power sent through a CVT.
Both versions are aimed at everyday usability, whether dealing with stop-start traffic in town or settling into longer highway journeys.

That said, it remains to be seen if the MY-spec car continues to offer the Honda LaneWatch blindspot camera.
To mark the opening of bookings, Honda Malaysia is offering a RM3,000 Early Bird Reward for customers who place their bookings between 27 August and 30 September 2026.
The campaign forms part of Honda Malaysia’s “One Nation, Shared Rewards” Merdeka initiative. The company will also operate New City pop-up stores at selected locations, with details to be announced on its official website.
The New City is now available for booking through prebook.honda.com.my, Honda authorised dealerships nationwide and the HondaTouch application.
Pricing, variant-specific equipment and the full launch details have yet to be announced. For now, the refreshed City’s stronger styling and expanded safety and convenience features give it a more convincing case in Malaysia’s competitive B-segment sedan market.
