Third-generation BYD Tang interior revealed in Dune Beige and Amber Brown

BYD has revealed the interior of the third-generation Tang, with Lu Tian, General Manager of BYD's Sales Division, sharing photos of the new SUV's cabin.

The cabin takes inspiration from the control deck of a spaceship from a sci-fi film. BYD has also introduced two new interior colour options: Dune Beige and Amber Brown.

The photos show a large Star Ring display and panoramic screen. The centre console has a simple layout, with the large screens taking up most of the dashboard.

The seats feature diamond-pattern stitching and leather upholstery, with a full-width ambient light strip running across the dashboard.

Dune Beige uses light, warm tones throughout the cabin. The lighter interior makes the cabin look brighter and more open, while keeping the overall design simple.

Amber Brown uses darker tones for a deeper, more restrained look. The darker cabin also gives the Tang a more premium feel as BYD's flagship SUV.

The third-generation Tang continues with BYD's latest Dynasty design language. At the front, a full-width LED light bar is paired with large air intakes on both sides of the bumper.

The side profile features a floating roof and semi-hidden door handles. The new SUV will be available with 20- or 21-inch wheels and will also feature BYD's God's Eye B intelligent driving assistance system.

The rear follows the same family design, with a full-width tail-light bar stretching across the tailgate.

The new Tang measures 5,045 mm long, 1,980 mm wide and 1,760 mm tall, with a 2,950 mm wheelbase.

The third-generation Tang uses a TZ205QYD electric motor producing 300 kW. It is also fitted with BYD's second-generation Blade Battery, with 88.682 kWh and 105.792 kWh battery packs available. CLTC range is rated at 730 km, 830 km or 850 km, depending on the variant.

The SUV supports BYD's flash-charging technology. Its suspension uses the DiSus-A intelligent body control system, with dual-chamber air suspension and intelligent road preview. The system can react quickly to different road conditions.

As BYD's flagship SUV, the third-generation Tang combines a spacious cabin with DiSus-A air suspension and long electric range. If it eventually comes to Malaysia, it could give local buyers a new option in the flagship electric SUV segment.
