August 26, Chery Fengyun T7 officially launched. The theme of this launch event is a bit special, called 'Steady Happiness'. A pure electric SUV, not talking about specs but happiness, Chery's move is quite interesting.

First, look at the price. Fengyun T7 launches 3 models, all are 600km range versions: 600km Enjoyment Edition launch guide price 97,900 yuan, 600km Comfort Edition 108,900 yuan, 600km Smart Edition 118,900 yuan. If counting trade-in subsidies, the advance trade-in price is as low as starting from 94,900 yuan. A pure electric SUV with all-trims 600km range, pushed price under 100,000, this pricing is indeed aggressive.

At the launch event, Wu Kequn appeared as a 'Happiness Experience Officer' and chatted with Chery Auto Executive Vice President Li Xueyong about 'Steady Happiness'. The two talked from driving experience to understanding of happiness, and together launched Fengyun T7 'Happiness Co-creation Plan'. Wu Kequn himself also became the No. 001 owner of Fengyun T7.

What makes this car claim 'Steady Happiness'?

Chery's positioning for Fengyun T7 is 'Global Quality Pure Electric SUV'. This isn't just casual marketing jargon — Fengyun T7's sibling model Lepas L6 is already launched in South Africa and Thailand, next August landing in Indonesia, September entering EU, October landing in Australia/New Zealand and UK market. Run through the world first then return home, this 'reverse export' path is indeed rare in domestic cars.

Chery Executive Vice President Li Xueyong said one sentence at the launch: 'A true global car is not developed in China and then modified for export.' Fengyun T7 benchmarked the 2026 version E-NCAP Five-Star Safety Standard from the beginning of R&D, adapted to vehicle usage needs in 210 countries and regions. For this, Chery invested 81 durability test cars, whole vehicle cumulative test mileage over 6 million kilometers, durability special test 1.45 million kilometers. From Nordic extreme cold to Middle East high temperature, from Brazil gravel roads to Mexico cobblestone roads, all 100+ global extreme road conditions were driven.

Simply put, this car wasn't huddled out in a domestic lab, but forged on real roads across the globe.

How is the product capability exactly?

Regarding range, Fengyun T7 standard equips 65.05kWh Rhinoceros Battery, CLTC range 600km. Interestingly, media tests achieved over 667km results — official label 600km, actually can run more, this 'reverse false labeling' is indeed rare. 30% to 80% fast charge takes only 20 minutes, battery cycle life over 2,500 times. The 100,000 yuan level pure electric SUV market has always had a problem: entry-level range shrinks, safety configurations discounted, high-level intelligence requires money for higher trim. Fengyun T7's approach is — all trims 600km range, all trims 9 airbags, all trims heat pump AC, all trims AGS smart front grille. Give high-level configurations directly to entry users, don't play the 'low trim shrinking' set.

From market response, Fengyun T7 pre-sale 9 days orders broke through 16,787 units. This launch price is dropped more than 10,000 compared to pre-sale price (109,900 - 129,900), sincerity is indeed fully shown.
