Suzuki Fronx Hybrid now cheaper by RM 29k in Malaysia; base starts at RM 119k, accessorised Fronx Sport launched at RM 131k

Suzuki Cars Malaysia has cut prices of the 2026 Suzuki Fronx Hybrid in Malaysia, with the base model seeing prices slashed to RM 118,888 on-the-road without insurance. To recap, when it first entered the local market last November, it debuted at RM 147,888.

Along with that announcement, the distributor also introduced the Suzuki Fronx Sport, a dressed-up version of the SUV. Coming with a host of aesthetic enhancements, this is priced at RM130,888 on-the-road without insurance.

Fronx Sport - no mechanical changes, just dressed up

Fully imported as a completely built-up (CBU) vehicle from Indonesia, the Fronx Sport is visually distinguished by a series of factory-fitted exterior upgrades. The crossover features side skirts, a lower lip extension on the front bumper, a rear diffuser, and a tailgate-mounted spoiler, complemented by a blacked-out front grille, matching black brand emblems, and unique Fronx Sport side decals.

Grounding the package is a set of optional 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 215/50R17 Continental UltraContact UC7 tyres, stepping up from the 16-inch wheels and 195/60R16 rubber found on the standard variant. Inside, the cabin layout remains familiar, though the Sport specification gains a high-resolution 4K dual-channel (front and rear) dashboard camera as standard equipment.

Beneath the cosmetic updates, the mechanical underpinnings and performance metrics remain identical to the standard hybrid variant. The vehicle retains a gross weight of 1,480 kg, utilising a suspension setup composed of front MacPherson struts and a rear torsion beam, paired with ventilated front disc brakes and rear drum brakes.

Power is supplied by the same K15C 1.5-litre naturally aspirated inline-four petrol engine integrated with a starter-generator mild-hybrid system. The powertrain delivers 103 PS at 6,000 rpm and 138 Nm of torque at 4,400 rpm, routing drive exclusively to the front wheels through a six-speed automatic gearbox.

The rest of the standard interior conveniences carry over to the Sport model, including a nine-inch touchscreen infotainment system compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a wireless smartphone charging pad, and a leather three-spoke steering wheel featuring integrated paddle shifters on a tilt-and-telescopic adjustable column.

Safety systems are similarly mirrored from the base variant, anchored by a comprehensive Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) suite. This includes adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-change assist, lane-departure warning and prevention, lane-keep assist, and a vehicle-sway warning system.

Standard safety hardware is completed by six airbags, dual rear Isofix child seat anchors, electronic stability control, hill-hold assist, high-beam assist, and ABS with EBD and brake assist.

Available in two distinct paint finishes—Cool Black or a two-tone Pearl Snow White with Cool Black roof—the Suzuki Fronx Sport is backed by a manufacturer's three-year or 100,000 km warranty. It also comes with a 5-year or 100,000 km battery warranty.
