Porsche Malaysia has officially launched the all-electric Cayenne in Malaysia, expanding the local Cayenne range beyond combustion and plug-in hybrid powertrains.
Available in both SUV and Coupé body styles, the Cayenne Electric is priced from RM699,000 before options. It becomes Porsche's most powerful production model yet, with the range-topping Cayenne Turbo Electric producing up to 850 kW, or 1,156 PS, and 1,500 Nm of torque under Launch Control.
The Turbo Electric accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds, reaches 200 km/h in 7.4 seconds and has a top speed of 260 km/h. Porsche also claims up to 630 kW of available power during normal driving, while the Push-to-Pass function adds a temporary 130 kW boost for up to 10 seconds.

All Cayenne Electric variants use all-wheel drive with Porsche Traction Management. Adaptive air suspension with Porsche Active Suspension Management is standard, while rear-wheel steering is available. Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus is fitted to the Turbo Electric, with Porsche Active Ride also offered on selected variants.
The models are powered by a 113-kWh battery with double-sided cooling. Depending on the variant and body style, claimed WLTP range reaches up to 642 km for the Cayenne Electric SUV and up to 669 km for the Coupé Electric.

Using an 800-volt electrical architecture, the Cayenne Electric supports DC charging at up to 390 kW, or up to 400 kW under specific conditions. Porsche says the battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in under 16 minutes when connected to a sufficiently powerful charging station.
The car also features energy recuperation of up to 600 kW, with the technology derived from Porsche's Formula E program. Porsche says around 97% of braking operations in everyday driving can be handled solely by the electric motors.

The Cayenne Electric measures 4,985 mm long, 1,980 mm wide and 1,674 mm high, with a 3,023 mm wheelbase. It is 55 mm longer than the combustion-engined Cayenne, with the additional wheelbase contributing to improved rear-seat space.
The rear seats can be electrically adjusted, while luggage capacity ranges from 781 to 1,588 litres. A further 90-litre front luggage compartment is also provided. Towing capacity is rated at up to 3.5 tons, depending on equipment.
The Coupé Electric is the same length and width as the SUV but stands 24 mm lower. Its sleeker body achieves a drag coefficient of 0.23, compared with 0.25 for the SUV. Luggage capacity ranges from 534 to 1,347 liters, with an additional 90-litre front compartment.

Porsche Malaysia has specified several additional features as standard equipment for the local market. These include four-zone automatic climate control, 14-way electrically adjustable front comfort seats, rear side-window sunblinds and a Bose surround sound system.
The entry-level Cayenne Electric also receives the Sport Chrono Package with Electric Sport Sound, automatic parking with 2D Surround View and rear-axle steering as standard.

The Cayenne S Electric adds HD Matrix LED headlights, while the Turbo Electric comes with a Burmester sound system, Mood Modes and an augmented-reality head-up display.
Other standard equipment across the range includes a storage package, a 230-volt socket in the luggage compartment, an air-quality system and wireless charging preparation.

Inside, the Cayenne Electric features Porsche's new Driver Experience interface, centered around a curved OLED Flow Display. It is joined by a 14.25-inch digital instrument cluster and an optional 14.9-inch passenger display. An augmented-reality head-up display is also available.

The Porsche Cayenne Electric range is priced as follows:
All prices are before options. The new electric models join the combustion-engined and plug-in hybrid Cayenne variants, both of which are locally assembled in Malaysia.
