Suzuki Jimny Updated: From RM 158,900, More Safety Features and 5-Year Unlimited Mileage Warranty

In June 2026, Naza Eastern Motors, the official distributor of Suzuki in Malaysia, officially launched two new Jimny variants—the Jimny AllGrip Plus and the Jimny Rhino Plus.

For prospective Jimny buyers, the key takeaway of this update is ADAS and extra equipment added, but with no price hike.

AllGrip Plus & Rhino Plus

Both new variants are three-door Jimny models, retaining the classic Jimny's ladder-frame chassis , AllGrip Pro part-time 4WD system (with 2H/4H/4L modes), and front and rear 3-link rigid axle suspension. Powering the SUV is the familiar K15B 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated four-cylinder engine pushing out 100 hp (102 PS) and 130 Nm of torque, mated to a four-speed automatic transmission.

Both variants are fully imported (CBU) from Japan.

Variant OTR Price (without insurance)
Jimny AllGrip Plus RM 158,900
Jimny Rhino Plus RM 173,900

Notably, the AllGrip Plus is priced identically to the outgoing AllGrip Pro.

Key Upgrade: Full ADAS Suite Available for the First Time

This is the highlight of the update. Previously, the Malaysian-spec Jimny lacked active safety features, but the AllGrip Plus and Rhino Plus now come standard with a full ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) suite for the first time.

The safety suite includes the following features:

  • Dual Sensor Brake Support II (DSBS II) – Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB)
  • Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)
  • Lane Departure Warning (LDW) and Lane Departure Prevention (LDP)
  • Weaving Alert
  • Automatic High Beam (AHB)
  • Emergency Stop Signal (ESS)
  • Side Airbags and Side Curtain Airbags (bringing the total number of airbags to six)

Additionally, both new variants gain front and rear parking sensors with clearance sonar, as well as electrically-folding heated side mirrors.

A new 9-inch touchscreen replaces the older system, supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and incorporating a reverse camera.

A comprehensive ADAS suite, six airbags, front and rear parking sensors, a 9-inch screen, and power-folding side mirrors—all these features, which were previously absent, are now standard equipment.

Warranty Upgrade: From 3 Years / 100,000 km to 5 Years Unlimited Mileage

On 26 June 2026, Naza Eastern Motors announced that the manufacturer's warranty for specific variants, including the Jimny AllGrip Plus and Jimny Rhino Plus, has been upgraded from the previous 3-year/100,000 km coverage to a 5-year/unlimited mileage package.

This upgraded warranty is applicable to new vehicles registered from the announcement date onwards and does not apply to existing owners.

A 5-year unlimited mileage warranty is highly competitive in the Malaysian automotive landscape. For Jimny owners who often travel long distances or venture off-road, removing the mileage cap eliminates worries about the warranty expiring prematurely due to high mileage.

Rhino Plus: What Do You Get for an Extra RM 15,000?

If you are willing to spend an additional RM 15,000 to upgrade from the AllGrip Plus to the Rhino Plus, the main differences are focused on exterior styling and visual appeal:

  • 15-inch polished alloy wheels
  • Exclusive Rhino badging on the spare wheel cover
  • Unique front grille design
  • Front bumper underguard and side skirt underguards
  • Door rain visors
  • Red front and rear mud flaps

Mechanically, the Rhino Plus is identical to the AllGrip Plus—sharing the same 1.5-litre engine, 4-speed automatic gearbox, and AllGrip Pro 4WD system. The premium paid is purely for aesthetic upgrades.

If you want a more rugged look, the Rhino Plus is worth considering; however, if practicality is your priority, the AllGrip Plus already offers all the essential gear.

Colour Options

Jimny AllGrip Plus is available in six colours:

Kinetic Yellow + Bluish Black Pearl (Dual-tone, requires an additional RM 1,000)

Chiffon Ivory + Bluish Black Pearl (Dual-tone, requires an additional RM 1,000)

Jungle Green

Medium Grey

Bluish Black Pearl

Pure White Pearl

Jimny Rhino Plus comes in three exclusive colours:

Pure White Pearl

Kinetic Yellow

Chiffon Ivory

Buying Advice

Who it is highly recommended for:

Off-road enthusiasts and outdoor adventurers —— The Jimny’s ladder-frame chassis, front and rear rigid axles, and AllGrip Pro 4WD system are virtually peerless at the RM 160,000 price point

Value-conscious buyers —— With the AllGrip Plus adding a full ADAS suite, six airbags, and a 9-inch touchscreen at no extra cost, the value-for-money proposition is significantly stronger

Peace-of-mind seekers —— The new 5-year unlimited mileage warranty offers long-term ownership security and lower ownership risk

Those who might want to wait and see:

Urban commuters who don't need off-road capability —— For the same money, there are more spacious, comfortable, and practical daily drivers available (such as the Proton X50 or Perodua Ativa)

Tech-savvy or efficiency-minded buyers —— The Jimny's 1.5-litre engine and 4-speed automatic transmission are rather dated, meaning fuel economy and refinement won't match modern hybrids or turbocharged alternatives in the same price bracket

AllGrip Plus vs Rhino Plus: Which one to choose?

If you are looking for the best value for money, the AllGrip Plus is the more sensible choice. It already comes with all the essential equipment, including ADAS, six airbags, a 9-inch infotainment display, and front and rear parking sensors, while its RM 158,900 price point makes it the most competitive option.

However, if you are willing to spend an additional RM 15,000 for a more distinctive appearance, the Rhino Plus's exclusive styling package does give your Jimny a more unique presence on the road.

Final Thoughts

The 2026 Jimny AllGrip Plus is essentially a more complete Jimny. Consumers' chief complaints about the model in the past—chiefly its lack of active safety kit and outdated tech—have finally been addressed in this update.

More importantly, there is no price increase. At RM 158,900, buyers get a CBU Japan-imported Jimny equipped with full ADAS, six airbags, a 9-inch infotainment display, and front and rear parking sensors, while also benefiting from a five-year unlimited mileage warranty.

In the context of the 2026 Malaysian market, it remains a model worth serious consideration for buyers looking for a compact off-roader with genuine character and strong equipment levels.
