2026 is shaping up to be a landmark year for Mercedes-Benz. The brand plans to introduce 16 new or updated models in 2026, followed by another 14 in 2027, totalling 30 models over two years. As one of Mercedes-Benz's key markets in the Asia-Pacific region, Malaysia is expected to receive many of these new products.
As of 20 July 2026, several models have already been launched or previewed, while others are due to arrive later this year. Here's a closer look at the highlights.

In January 2026, the all-new third-generation Mercedes-Benz CLA (C174) made its Malaysian debut at Stars@Mercedes-Benz Bangsar, with order books opening at the same time. Unlike its predecessor, the new CLA is not an EV derived from a combustion-engine platform. Instead, it has been developed from the ground up as a dedicated electric vehicle.
Key specifications:

Rear-mounted single motor producing 272 PS and 335 Nm, 0-100 km/h in 6.7 seconds, top speed of 210 km/h
85 kWh NMC battery, WLTP range of 792 km
800V high-voltage architecture, DC fast charging up to 320 kW, adding 325 km of range in 10 minutes
Drag coefficient of just 0.21 Cd
Estimated price: RM 295,888 (Peninsular Malaysia, OTR price without insurance)
It is worth noting that the CLA currently arrives as a CBU (fully imported) model. With Malaysia's EV tax incentives having ended at the close of 2025, the final retail price could still change once the government confirms the applicable tax structure. Although the official launch was originally scheduled for the second quarter of 2026, the model had yet to go on sale as of 20 July.

Who is it for?
With a WLTP-rated range of 792 km, the new CLA offers one of the longest driving ranges of any EV currently expected for the Malaysian market, significantly reducing range anxiety. However, buyers who are not in a hurry may wish to wait for the official launch and final pricing.

In December 2025, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia officially introduced the GLE 400e 4Matic. This marks the first plug-in hybrid (PHEV) variant in the local GLE range, locally assembled (CKD) at the Pekan plant in Pahang.
Key specifications:

2.0L turbocharged engine + 100 kW electric motor
combined output of 380 PS and 650 Nm
0-100 km/h in 6.1 seconds, top speed of 210 km/h
31 kWh battery, WLTP electric-only range of 114 km
11 kW AC charging, 60 kW DC fast charging
Standard AMG Line kit, 21-inch wheels, AIRMATIC air suspension
Priced at RM 498,888 (OTR price, without insurance)

With a 114 km electric-only range, it ranks among the best for PHEV SUVs in Malaysia, making all-electric daily commutes highly feasible. CKD assembly also ensures better long-term parts availability.

In December 2025, the GLC 200 4Matic joined the GLC family. It is also locally assembled (CKD) in Pekan.
Key specifications:
2.0L turbocharged engine + 48V mild-hybrid system
204 PS and 320 Nm, 0-100 km/h in 7.8 seconds
9G-Tronic automatic transmission + 4Matic AWD
Standard AMG Line kit, 20-inch wheels, 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, 11.9-inch MBUX infotainment screen
Priced at RM 329,888 (OTR price, without insurance)

One notable omission is Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC, which is not available on the GLC 200.

| AMG GLC 43 4Matic Coupé | RM 498,888 |
Who is it for? With a starting price of around RM 330,000, the GLC 200 serves as the entry point into Mercedes-Benz's premium midsize SUV range. However, buyers who prioritise a more comprehensive suite of driver assistance systems may find the GLC 350e to be the more compelling choice.

A fully electric seven-seater SUV producing 292 hp and 520 Nm, with a WLTP-rated range of 423 km. Expected pricing is around RM 330,000, and it will be imported as a CBU model.
If you're not in a hurry, wait for the official CLA pricing.
The quoted RM 295,888 is only an estimated price. The final retail price will depend on the government's confirmed tax structure for imported (CBU) electric vehicles, so it could change once the model officially launches.

CKD models offer better overall value.
The locally assembled GLA, GLC and GLE, built at Mercedes-Benz's Pekan plant, are more competitively priced and generally benefit from better parts availability and after-sales support.
Don't overlook the extended PHEV battery warranty.
Mercedes-Benz Malaysia now offers an extended battery warranty programme for its plug-in hybrid models, increasing battery coverage to 8 years or 160,000 km.
More models are on the way.
The all-electric GLC and the new C-Class BEV have already debuted globally, making their arrival in Malaysia highly likely.

Mercedes-Benz is rolling out one of the biggest product offensives in its history in 2026. From the RM 258k GLA to the RM 739k S-Class, and from the CLA EV with up to 792 km of WLTP range to the GLE PHEV offering 114 km of electric-only driving, there is now a new Mercedes for almost every budget and every type of buyer.
