Chery Group's all-electric off-road SUV, the iCAUR V23 (known as iCAR V23 in China), made its debut at the 2025 Malaysia Auto Show. The right-hand-drive model is now open for pre-orders with a price range of RM145,000 to RM155,000, and is set for official launch in Malaysia by the end of this year.
Adopting a rugged SUV design language, the new model features distinct body lines that exude a powerful presence. It comes with round lamp clusters, a closed front grille, and dual parallel LED daytime running lights inside. The upper lamp clusters extend outward to both sides of the front, forming a three-section arrangement that enhances the sense of power.
The side profile maintains angular styling, with front and rear fenders wider than the body, complemented by hidden door handles and five-spoke rims. In terms of dimensions, it measures 4,220mm in length, 1,915mm in width, and 1,845mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,735mm.
Inside the cabin, the vehicle is equipped with an 8.8-inch LCD instrument cluster and a 15.4-inch touchscreen. The central control area adopts a popular floating design, echoing the rugged exterior style. It is furnished with a 2.5K high-definition large screen, 8155 chip, and 3DHMI system, while also supporting Apple CarPlay.
In terms of powertrain, two variants are available: the rear-wheel-drive (2WD) model is fitted with a single motor delivering a maximum power of 136PS (100kW) and peak torque of 180N·m, paired with a 59.9kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery that offers a maximum NEDC range of 401km. The intelligent all-wheel-drive (iWD) variant features a dual-motor setup with a total power output of 211PS (155kW) and total torque of 292N·m, supported by an 81.8kWh nickel-cobalt-manganese (NMC) battery providing a NEDC range of up to 501km.
Notably, the iCAUR V23 has been awarded a 5-star safety rating by ASEAN NCAP under the 2021-2025 assessment protocol, thanks to its comprehensive safety features including six airbags, autonomous emergency braking (AEB) for both city and inter-urban scenarios, and blind spot detection (BSD) as standard across all variants. Both variants also support 3.3kW vehicle-to-load (V2L) functionality, making them suitable for outdoor activities and long-distance travels.
