Geely Group reports record August sales of 270,194 vehicles, exports top 110,000

Geely Auto Group has reported total sales of 270,194 vehicles in August, up 8% year on year and 8% from July.

The group has now recorded year-on-year and month-on-month sales growth for six consecutive months, while overseas exports topped 110,000 vehicles in August, setting another monthly record.

NEV sales reach 175,877 in August

Geely's new energy vehicle (NEV) sales also continued to grow.

The group sold 175,877 NEVs in August, up 19% year on year and 10% month on month. NEVs accounted for 65% of total group sales.

Overseas NEV exports reached 70,629 vehicles, up 446% year on year and accounting for 64% of the group's total overseas exports.

Geely, Zeekr and Lynk & Co

Geely

The Geely brand, including Geely Galaxy and China Star, recorded total sales of 216,186 vehicles in August.

Geely Galaxy accounted for 119,115 vehicles, up 8% year on year and 10% month on month. The Geely Xingyuan set a new monthly sales record with 60,955 vehicles delivered in August.

The China Star and Starray ranges contributed a combined 97,071 vehicles.

Zeekr

Zeekr delivered 36,981 vehicles in August, its highest monthly figure to date. Sales were up 110% year on year and 3% from July.

The Zeekr 7X, which has attracted considerable attention in Malaysia, continued to perform strongly after monthly sales topped 10,000 units in July. Global orders for the model have now surpassed 200,000.

Zeekr's shooting brake models also continued to sell more than 10,000 units a month, taking cumulative global deliveries beyond 400,000 vehicles.

In Australia, cumulative Zeekr deliveries have passed 10,000 units, marking another milestone for the brand in an established overseas EV market.

Lynk & Co

Lynk & Co sold 17,027 vehicles in August, up 4% month on month.

NEVs accounted for 15,504 units, or 91% of the brand's total sales, as its electrified line-up continued to make up the bulk of its monthly volume.

Overseas sales continue to climb

Geely is continuing to expand its presence in overseas markets.

The group exported 110,094 vehicles in August, up 205% year on year, marking the eighth consecutive month of year-on-year and month-on-month growth in overseas exports.

Models including the Geely Monjaro EM-i, Geely E5, Geely Starray EM-i and Geely E2 are now being rolled out across markets including Egypt, Austria, Australia, the UK, Hungary and France, as Geely continues to expand its global footprint.
