More than three months after making its debut and opening for bookings at KLIMS 2026, Jetour has announced that the T2 i-DM has received 2,137 orders in Malaysia.
The company has also confirmed that the plug-in hybrid SUV will have its big reveal on 19 September, when more details about the model are expected to be announced.

The Jetour T2 i-DM will join the T2 2.0T, which is already on sale in Malaysia. The petrol version is locally assembled (CKD) and priced at RM 156,800, making it more affordable than the price previously expected when the model was first introduced locally.
The T2 2.0T is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 254 PS and 390 Nm, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT).
It uses a mechanical XWD four-wheel-drive system with a sixth-generation BorgWarner intelligent torque manager, along with six drive modes and a claimed 700 mm wading depth.

The upcoming T2 i-DM takes a different approach, using Jetour's iWD intelligent hybrid 4WD system.
The system combines a 1.5T engine with three electric motors, with the rear wheels driven directly by electric motors rather than through a conventional mechanical drivetrain.
Jetour developed iWD specifically for new-energy boxy SUVs, combining the characteristics of a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) with electric four-wheel drive. The idea is to use electric power for everyday driving while retaining four-wheel-drive capability for off-road driving.
