According to the latest vehicle registration data released by the Road Transport Department Malaysia (JPJ) for February 2026, the domestic electric vehicle (EV) market continues its growth momentum. Local brand Proton maintains a dominant lead, topping both the brand and model sales charts, while Chinese brands make up a major share of the market.
