Notable Mentions: Honda Returns to the Ranks

In the lower half of the EV rankings, Honda is the brand to watch. After a quiet start to the year with just 1 unit registered in January, Honda's EV registrations surged in March with 34 units, successfully pushing it back into the Top 20.

Among Chinese EV newcomers, iCaur (1,002 units YTD) and Zeekr (857 units YTD) remain consistent in 4th and 5th place respectively. Denza recorded 27 units in March, bringing its YTD total to 99 units — just one unit short of the 100-unit milestone.

With more local assembly (CKD) plans in the pipeline, competition in the Malaysian EV segment is expected to intensify further in the second quarter.
