Range Rover Electric revealed with 550 PS, 800V technology and up to 600 km range

Land Rover has revealed the official images of the Range Rover Electric, the brand's first fully electric SUV, with production confirmed at its Solihull plant in the UK.

The flagship electric SUV will use a dual-motor powertrain producing 550 PS and 850 Nm, while offering a claimed WLTP range of up to 600 km.

Quieter cabin

The Range Rover Electric follows the same design philosophy as existing Range Rover models, but the move to electric power allows Land Rover to take cabin refinement further.

The company says it is the quietest and most refined Range Rover yet, with reduced drivetrain noise and a more relaxed driving experience.

The launch model will be offered in three exterior colours:

• Belgravia Green 
• Santorini Black 
• Varesine Blue

Inside, the SUV features a Light Cloud interior with Ultrafabrics PU upholstery and Kvadrat wool-blend materials, combining a premium feel with a stronger focus on sustainability.

Built for serious off-road use

Despite being fully electric, the Range Rover Electric keeps the brand's off-road credentials at the centre of its development.

The SUV features an Intelligent Driveline System that can continuously adjust rear axle torque distribution from 0% to 100%, helping maintain traction in changing conditions.

Its integrated Traction Control System can control motor speed within 50 milliseconds. Land Rover claims wheel-slip correction is up to 100 times faster than a conventional combustion engine vehicle.

The Range Rover Electric can also handle challenging terrain, including starting on slopes of up to 33 degrees and climbing gradients of up to 45 degrees.

800V system and fast charging

Under the floor sits a 118.5 kWh lithium-ion battery pack built around an 800V electrical architecture.

The SUV uses two 260 kW permanent magnet motors with silicon carbide (SiC) technology, delivering a 0-100km/h time of 4.5 seconds.

Charging figures include:

• Up to 350 kW DC fast charging
• 10%–80% charge in around 22 minutes
• Around 220 km of WLTP range added in 10 minutes

Before reaching production, the Range Rover Electric has undergone extensive testing in some of the world's toughest environments, including -40°C winter testing in Arjeplog, Sweden, hot-weather trials in the Dubai desert, and durability testing at Jaguar Land Rover's UK facilities.

The development programme has covered more than 1.5 million kilometres of real-world testing, alongside more than 250,000 hours of simulation work.
