There’s a new iCaur coming to Malaysia soon, as spyshots of the iCaur V27 have surfaced on social media recently.

As seen in paultan.org Automotive/Car Discussion Group, iCaur Malaysia has a fully-camouflaged iCaur V27, wearing the B3017A trade plate. Said trade plate was seen on an iCaur V23 about a year ago, right before the model's launch here.

The iCaur V27 is set to be iCaur’s third global model, after the iCaur 03 and iCaur V23.
Unlike the iCaur 03 and V23 that’s currently offered here in pure electric form, the V27 is a range-extender EV (REEV), which combines a 1.5-litre petrol engine to either a rear-mounted electric motor or dual-motor setup.
The former does 185 kW (252 PS) and 300 Nm, while variants with the added front-mounted motor offer a combined output of 335 kW (455 PS) and 505 Nm.

Being a REEV means that the petrol engine only serves as an on-board power generator for the electric motor(s); it does not drive the wheels. It’s similar in principle to Nissan’s e-Power hybrid system.
Despite that, battery capacity is the same for both RWD and AWD variants – a 34.3-kWh LFP battery pack juices the motor(s). Combined range goes up to 1,230 km under the CLTC cycle for the RWD V27, while the AWD V27 is said to return up to 1,200 km, also CLTC.
Excited yet? A launch later this year should be on the cards.
