iCaur Malaysia has officially commenced local assembly (CKD) of the 2026 iCaur V23, with the first locally assembled units set to arrive at authorised dealerships nationwide by the end of July.

More importantly for buyers, the CKD iCaur V23 iWD retains the same introductory price of RM 132,780, albeit with marginally improved features.

The start of CKD production marks another milestone for the brand, which says it ranked among Malaysia's top three battery electric vehicle (BEV) brands during the first half of 2026. Local assembly is expected to improve supply stability as iCAUR continues expanding its presence in the Malaysian market.

According to Francis Chin, Senior Director of iCaur Malaysia, the move goes beyond simply assembling vehicles locally.
"For us, CKD is not just a production milestone. It is a market commitment. The V23 has shown that Malaysian buyers are ready for EVs with personality, and local assembly allows us to respond to that demand with greater agility, stronger supply confidence and a product that remains accessible without losing its character."
Despite the switch to local assembly, the V23 continues unchanged, retaining its distinctive boxy retro-inspired styling and the same features offered on the imported model.

Customers interested in viewing or test-driving the locally assembled iCaur V23 can visit authorised iCaur dealerships from the end of July.
