XPENG confirms MONA L05 name for its new five-seat SUV, with EV and range-extender options

XPENG has officially named its first five-seat MONA SUV the MONA L05, ahead of its upcoming debut. The new model will be offered in both fully electric (BEV) and range-extended electric (EREV) versions.

Exterior

The MONA L05 shares several design cues with the MONA L03, including XPENG's signature Starship headlights. Sculpted bonnet lines give the front end a more muscular look.

In profile, the SUV has a sloping fastback roofline, a floating-roof effect and semi-concealed door handles designed to reduce drag. New-look alloy wheels and bright yellow brake callipers add a sporty touch.

At 4,870 mm long, 1,930 mm wide and 1,636 mm tall, with a 2,940 mm wheelbase, the MONA L05 is substantially larger than the MONA L03.

The rear features a full-width light bar similar to the MONA L03's, but with a redesigned bumper and a simpler, more restrained appearance.

Battery-electric (BEV)

The BEV model uses a 71.1 kWh battery, with four listed driving ranges of 615 km, 635 km, 640 km and 660 km.

Range-extended electric (EREV)

The EREV model gets a 37.2 kWh battery, with electric-only range figures of 237 km, 245 km and 253 km.
