XPeng has released its latest sales and business figures. The company delivered 39,107 vehicles in August 2026, up 4% from the same month last year.

The XPeng GX range accounted for 7,338 of August's deliveries, bringing its cumulative total to 21,501 units. It was the third month in a row that deliveries of the range increased from the previous month.

The MONA M03 remained the best-selling pure-electric sedan in China's RMB 100,000–200,000 (around RM 60k–120k) price bracket in August. That extends its winning streak to 23 consecutive months.
The wider MONA range has now passed 310,000 deliveries since its launch, making it one of XPeng's biggest volume drivers in the Chinese market.

According to XPeng's second-quarter results, its revenue reaches RMB 19.74 billion (around RM12 billion), up 8% from the same period last year.
It delivered 103,295 vehicles during the quarter, 64.8% more than in the first quarter.
Gross margin also rose to 20.7%, an improvement of 3.4 percentage points year on year.

XPeng is not putting all its eggs in the car business.
Its robotics arm raised more than US$900 million (around RM 3.9 billion) in its first private-equity funding round in August, giving the business a post-money valuation of more than US$6.3 billion.

IDG Capital led the round, with Gaorong Ventures also taking part. Tencent and Alibaba joined as strategic investors.
The money will go towards developing XPeng's IRON humanoid robot, including further work on its technology, AI models and eventual mass production.
XPeng expects IRON to enter production towards the end of 2026, with deliveries in China and overseas markets planned for 2027.

XPeng's overseas deliveries topped 20,000 units in the second quarter, an 81% increase year on year. Overseas markets accounted for 25% of the company's revenue in the first half of 2026.
The average selling price of its vehicles was above €40,000 (around RM 190k), with per-vehicle revenue and gross margin among the strongest reported by Chinese carmakers expanding overseas.
XPeng now has a presence in 68 countries and regions, supported by a growing sales and service network.

The company's second-generation VLA model has also been upgraded to give it a better sense of time when reading traffic situations.
It can use the previous 30 seconds of driving information and predict what traffic may do up to six seconds ahead. XPeng says this has cut response times by three times.
The updated XOS 6.3.0 will start rolling out this month, bringing the latest software features to more models and existing owners.

XPeng has also received approval in Guangzhou to carry out road testing of intelligent connected vehicles without a safety driver behind the wheel.
The company started employee testing of its Robotaxi service in June and has completed more than 2,000 rides in two months.
Its L4 autonomous-driving system is being developed around XPeng's production-car platform, and the latest testing marks another step towards public demonstration and commercial deployment.

As of 31 August, XPeng's charging network in China covered 430 cities, with more than 3,900 self-operated charging stations. More than 3,400 of these are ultra-fast charging stations.
XPeng also estimates that the EVs it delivered in the first eight months of the year will cut more than 3.72 million tonnes of carbon emissions over their full life cycle compared with equivalent petrol-powered vehicles.
The company compares that figure with the carbon absorbed by around 61.6 million medium-sized trees over 10 years.
With vehicle sales growing at home and overseas, XPeng is now building out a business that goes well beyond EVs — from driver assistance and Robotaxi technology to humanoid robots.
