Zeekr 9X Lands in the UAE for Over RM 500k – will it come to Malaysia?

The Zeekr 9X, the first production model to feature Zeekr's new Super Electric Power (SEP) system, has officially begun its overseas expansion.

On 22 September, the luxury flagship SUV departed from the Jiangyin Port area of Fuzhou Port in China, with a large shipment bound for the United Arab Emirates.

The Zeekr 9X is priced at more than RMB 800,000 (~RM 500k) in the UAE.

From January to August this year, Zeekr remained China's best-selling premium automotive brand by exports.

The arrival of the Zeekr 9X overseas takes the brand into a much higher price bracket, putting the flagship SUV up against established luxury models in key international markets.

In Europe, the Zeekr 9X is priced at close to RMB 1 million (~RM 600k).

The model has also become the first Chinese vehicle to receive a full customisation programme from Mansory, the high-end German automotive tuning brand. The customised version is priced at over RMB 2.7 million (~RM 1.6 million) overseas, making it the most expensive Chinese vehicle currently available outside China.

In the UAE, demand has also been strong, with orders for the Zeekr 9X already exceeding 700 units.

During the first eight months of the year, Zeekr expanded further into key premium-car markets in Europe and the Middle East.

The brand is now present in more than 60 countries and regions, with nearly 800 stores worldwide. Zeekr says it is currently the only Chinese premium technology-focused car brand delivering vehicles in all five continents.

The company plans to continue expanding the Zeekr 9X into markets across the Middle East, Central Asia, Latin America and Europe.

The Zeekr 9X has yet to be confirmed for the Malaysian market, but its arrival would give Zeekr a much more upmarket offering than its current local range.
