On August 26, the all-new pure electric compact SUV - Fengyun T7 from Chery Fengyun series was officially launched. The new car offers 3 configurations, with an official guide price of 97,900–118,900 Yuan, and a priority trade-in price of 94,900–115,900 Yuan. All trims come with a CLTC range of 600 km, and delivery starts immediately upon launch.

In the fierce competition of the domestic new energy market where models are revised every half year and replaced every year, Fengyun T7 took the opposite path: it is not a model made for the domestic market and then exported with a badge, but one developed for the global market from the very beginning. The homologous model Lepas L6 has already landed in South Africa and Thailand, and will enter markets such as the EU, Australia & New Zealand, UK, Israel, etc. next. Three Years to Sharpen a Sword, Where is the "Slowness"?

The R&D cycle of Fengyun T7 is 3 years, which counts as "slow" in today's Chinese car market. However, this "slowness" is not due to low efficiency, but a different development logic.

Most brands' approach is: after the domestic model is finalized, regulatory adaptation and local modifications are made for export markets, with short cycles and low costs, but essentially it is "making do". Super Performance: 600km Range is Standard, Not High-Spec

Power and range are the parts of Fengyun T7 that require the least worry - all three configurations come standard with the 65.05kWh Rhino battery, CLTC range 600 km, and the official statement says the actual range can exceed 667 km, belonging to the path of "reverse false labeling".

Regarding charging, 30%-80% SOC fast charging takes 20 minutes, and the charging efficiency is mainstream for this price range. The battery cycle life exceeds 2,500 times, and based on normal household frequency, the battery does not need to be replaced during the whole vehicle usage cycle.

The electric drive system is the 12-in-1 integrated Kunpeng Super Power Electric Drive, peak power 178kW, maximum torque 275N·m, maximum speed 180 km/h, comprehensive efficiency 90.8%. The parameters are not top-tier among peer pure electric SUVs, but enough - 0 to 100 km/h acceleration is not disclosed, but judging from power output, it should be around 8 seconds, more than enough for household use.

Winter range is a pain point for northern users. Fengyun T7 comes standard with dual-source wide temperature range heat pump AC + high-voltage PTC. Regarding safety, Fengyun T7's body structure has a few points worth mentioning.

100,000 Yuan-class pure electric SUV is one of the most fierce competitive sub-segments in the Chinese car market. BYD Yuan PLUS, Aion Y Younger, Geely Geometry and other models have rolled prices and configurations to the extreme. Fengyun T7 did not fight to the death on "who is cheaper", but told a "Native Global Car" story - this car of mine is developed according to the highest global standards, has already been tested in overseas markets, and now sold to domestic consumers at a 100,000 Yuan price.

Whether this story can move users, ultimately depends on product power and reputation.
