Which domestic cars are truly accepted abroad? For many brands there might be candidates, but my own answer is actually BYD.

BYD sold 4.6 million cars last year, ranking 6th globally, cumulative EV sales of 15 million units, the car manufacturer selling the most EVs worldwide is BYD.
In the UK, Brazil, Thailand, BYD has long been the top seller, even now, BYD has become official fleet vehicles for many countries, such as Pakistan, Cape Verde, Mexico, Philippines. Domestically, BYD has long also been ranked first in new energy vehicle procurement for official use.
So it's not just domestic consumers, foreign consumers also like BYD, Seagull, Yuan, Song, are all BYD models that sell very well. Many people ask me "why support BYD", I say it's still because it has good products at every price point. Seagull, Qin, Song, these price-friendly ones, BYD sells well, the mid-to-high end Denza D9 and Fang Cheng Bao Ti 7 also make a strong presence, D9 sold 100,000 in a year, Ti 7 sold extremely well within a few months of launch.

However, even so, many people online still criticize BYD, what does that prove? Nothing. Essentially, BYD is no different from Tesla, Toyota, or Apple; they are commodities, not currency, it's impossible to please everyone, but that's okay, sales can explain a lot, choices by consumers and the government sector can also explain a lot.

Some brands are hyped to the skies online, but not many are willing to support with real money, BYD's treatment is completely different, I think the only one who might truly defeat BYD is BYD itself.
