Proton has expanded its nationwide retail presence with the opening of 10 new outlets across Malaysia within 10 days, comprising four Proton and six Proton eMas dealerships.
The new facilities are spread across the Central, Northern, Southern, East Coast and East Malaysia regions, further strengthening the automaker's sales, aftersales and EV support network while improving accessibility for customers in both urban and regional markets.
According to Proton, the expansion represents a combined dealer investment of RM 15.9 million and has created 210 new jobs across sales, aftersales, technical and customer service roles.
As of June 2026, Proton's nationwide network comprises 195 sales outlets, including 178 integrated 3S and 4S centres. Meanwhile, the Proton eMas network has grown to 58 dealerships, supported by 45 service centres and 10 Body & Paint centres.

Rather than adopting a one-size-fits-all approach, Proton says the latest expansion introduces different dealership formats tailored to local market requirements.

These include traditional Sales and Customer Centres, integrated 3S and 4S facilities, mall-based Proton eMas showrooms, an urban brand centre and a mini 3S outlet.

Mall-based outlets and brand centres are intended to improve accessibility in high-density urban areas, while full-fledged 3S and 4S centres continue to provide integrated sales, servicing and spare parts support in regional markets. The mini 3S concept is aimed at serving developing markets where a smaller footprint is more suitable.

Proton Deputy Chief Executive Officer Dato' Ir. Abdul Rashid Musa said the company's objective is not simply to increase the number of dealerships, but to improve the overall customer ownership experience.
He said the simultaneous opening of 10 outlets demonstrates the close collaboration between Proton, Proton eMas and its dealer partners, while ensuring customers have access to the facilities and technical expertise required regardless of whether they choose an internal combustion, hybrid or electric vehicle.

Beyond expanding its retail footprint, Proton is also continuing to upgrade the customer experience across its dealership network.
Since the second half of 2025, dealerships have progressively adopted the company's refreshed corporate identity (CI), featuring a more modern showroom design and improved customer touchpoints.
The company is also strengthening its aftersales operations through its Faster & Better initiative, supported by its 3 Commitments to Customers, including:
Proton says these initiatives are designed to improve workshop efficiency, reduce turnaround times and ensure a more consistent ownership experience across its nationwide network.
For Proton eMas customers, the growing dealership footprint is complemented by dedicated EV sales, servicing and Body & Paint facilities, providing specialised support throughout the ownership lifecycle.
The latest expansion reflects Proton's continued investment in strengthening its nationwide retail and aftersales network as the company prepares for growing demand across both conventional and electrified vehicle segments.
