BYD sells 419,211 vehicles in July as global NEV deliveries surpass 17.3 million

Chinese new energy vehicle giant BYD has released its latest sales figures, reporting 419,211 global vehicle deliveries in July 2026, including 410,072 passenger vehicles.

Since entering the new energy vehicle market, its cumulative global sales have surpassed 17.3 million units.

The biggest highlight from BYD's latest performance is its strong momentum in overseas markets. In July alone, BYD's overseas sales of passenger cars and pick-up trucks reached 179,841 units.

From January to July 2026, BYD recorded cumulative global sales of 2,227,722 vehicles, with overseas sales approaching the 970,000-unit mark.

Adding to its global recognition, BYD was also ranked among the top 100 companies in the latest Fortune Global 500 list, placing 91st overall.

BYD's impressive sales performance continues to be driven by its mass-market models, contributing more than 350,000 units in July.

Meanwhile, its diversified brand portfolio also delivered solid results. The off-road focused Fang Cheng Bao brand recorded strong sales, while premium brands Denza and ultra-luxury marque Yangwang continued to expand their presence across different market segments.

Back to Malaysia, BYD is already a familiar name in the local EV market.

The brand currently offers a wide range of models in Malaysia, from the entry-level Dolphin hatchback and Atto 3 SUV, to the electric sports sedan Seal and the newer Sealion 7.

BYD's accelerating overseas sales growth reflects the maturity of its technology, production capabilities and global supply chain.

As the company continues expanding worldwide, Malaysian customers can expect more advanced EV technologies, competitive new models, and stronger support in after-sales service and spare parts availability.
