Official images of the new Jetour TX (Huan You Zhe) have surfaced in China, following its latest filing with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT).
The new electric SUV will be offered in both two- and four-wheel-drive versions and is expected to go on sale in the fourth quarter of this year.

The Jetour TX takes a simple, boxy approach to its exterior, giving it a different look from the more streamlined shapes commonly seen on electric SUVs.
The front gets a closed-off grille, along with twin round headlights that give the SUV a retro touch. A horizontal design element across the front also helps make it look wider.
There are also air channels on both sides of the front bumper, adding a more rugged touch to the otherwise clean design.

As a compact electric SUV, the Jetour TX measures 4,475 mm in length, 1,880 mm in width and 1,700 mm (1,710 mm) in height, with a 2,735 mm wheelbase.

Both the front and rear track widths measure 1,625mm. The SUV has a 20-degree approach angle and a 22-degree departure angle. These figures should give it some ability to handle light off-road use and unpaved roads.
It comes with five seats and weighs 1,777 kg. Top speed is rated at 180 km/h, while wheel sizes listed in the filing include 18-inch and 19-inch options, with 225/60 R18 and 225/55 R19 tyres respectively.

The Jetour TX will be offered with both two- and four-wheel drive.
The 2WD model uses a single electric motor with a maximum output of 200 kW. The 4WD version gets two motors, rated at 75 kW and 200 kW. Both versions use lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries.
The battery capacity and driving range have not been announced and are expected to be revealed closer to the launch.
