UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) has reported total sales of more than 24,500 vehicles in the third quarter of 2026, bringing its cumulative sales for the first nine months of the year to over 60,800 units.
The latest figures cover the July to September period, during which the company continued to focus on customer retention, after-sales services and digital engagement.
According to UMWT, its third-quarter performance reflects continued demand for Toyota vehicles in Malaysia, against a backdrop of changing consumer preferences and growing interest in electrified vehicles.

Datuk Ravindran K., President of UMW Toyota Motor, attributed the company's performance to customer confidence in the brand and its established ownership support network.
"Our third quarter performance reflects the continued trust Malaysians place in Toyota and the strength of the ownership experience we have built over the years," he said.
Ravindran added that the company's priorities extend beyond vehicle sales, with particular emphasis on reliability, convenience and long-term customer satisfaction.

Alongside its sales announcement, UMWT has resumed its Toyota MY App campaign, which runs from September 14 to December 31, 2026.
The initiative encourages Toyota owners to use the manufacturer's mobile application for vehicle servicing appointments and other ownership-related services.
Under the campaign, customers can receive:
The campaign is open to both new and existing Toyota MY App users, although the registration reward applies when customers register.
UMWT says the initiative is part of its efforts to simplify vehicle ownership by making routine service arrangements more accessible through digital platforms.
The company is also expanding its involvement in electrified mobility, with plans to introduce additional public EV charging facilities at Toyota and Lexus locations across Malaysia.
A total of 42 public charging points are scheduled for phased deployment across 21 locations by the first half of 2027.
Of these, seven sites have already been completed, with the remaining locations to follow in stages.
The expansion forms part of Toyota's broader Multi-Pathway approach, which supports different vehicle powertrain technologies according to market requirements.
