The facelifted BYD Atto 3 has been launched in Hong Kong – and for Malaysian EV buyers, this is the version likely heading to our market (following past trends). Unlike the Europe-only Atto 3 Evo with major mechanical upgrades, the Asian (HK/Malaysia-bound) model keeps key specs familiar but adds a useful charging boost.
### Key Specs (Malaysia-Relevant) - Drivetrain: Remains
front-wheel drive (FWD) (no 800V architecture or RWD like the Evo) - Motor: 204 PS (150 kW), 310 Nm; 0-100 km/h in 7.3 seconds (same as current model) - Battery: 60.48 kWh Blade LFP;
420 km WLTP range (unchanged) - Charging: DC fast charging upgraded from 88 kW to
105 kW (30-80% charge in 30 mins, 10 mins faster); AC charging stays 7 kW

### Design & Interior Updates Externally, it gets sportier front/rear bumpers, redesigned D-pillars (no more “scales”), new looping taillights, a larger spoiler and 18-inch two-tone alloy wheels. Inside, it drops the gym-inspired design: new stitched dashboard, steering column gear stalk (no more kettlebell shifter), 8.8-inch instrument display (up from 5-inch), and a fixed 15.6-inch touchscreen (no rotating gimmick). The centre console adds twin phone holders (one with 50W cooled wireless charger) and storage.

### Malaysia Launch Info The facelifted Atto 3 is expected in Malaysia soon (as 2025 stock runs low). A slight price hike is likely first (due to expiring CBU EV tax incentives), but prices will drop again once CKD local assembly starts in H2 2026 (reinstating tax breaks). It will continue competing with popular EVs like the Leapmotor C10 and Hyundai Ioniq 5 here.
