Honda Car India has released a teaser on its official social media channels with the tagline: "It's time for a different vibe. Get ready for a new feeling with the new Honda City." This confirms that the fifth-generation City will receive its second facelift, with the official launch scheduled for May 22.

Powertrain options are expected to carry over from the current model:

The current fifth-generation Honda City debuted in 2019 and received its first facelift in Malaysia in 2023. This upcoming Indian launch represents the second major update for this generation.
In the highly competitive B-segment — with the Vios putting up a strong fight locally and the Verna/Slavia challenging it in India — Honda has opted for a bolder, more youthful design to maintain its edge. Following previous patterns, Honda Malaysia is very likely to introduce this updated City in the near future.
