The 2026 Nissan Kicks e-Power, a heavily updated variant of the popular crossover, has officially made its debut at the 2026 Bangkok International Motor Show. Positioned as a B-segment electrified SUV tailored for the Southeast Asian market, this model is a comprehensive evolution of the existing P15 generation, rather than the second-generation P16 variant currently sold in the United States..

Its exterior design draws inspiration from the Nissan Kait available in the Brazilian market, featuring fully enhanced build quality and technological specifications. Starting at approximately RM 95,000 (converted from Thai Baht), this pricing serves as a significant reference point for potential car buyers in Malaysia.
For the Thai market, the 2026 Nissan Kicks e-Power is available in three trim levels, with official pricing as follows:
e-Power V: 789,900 Thai Baht, approximately RM 95,560
e-Power VL: 849,900 Thai Baht, approximately RM 102,818
e-Power SV: 899,900 Thai Baht, approximately RM 108,867
Following the introductory promotion, prices will be adjusted upward to a range of RM 101,000 to RM 112,000. Even with this adjustment, the model maintains exceptional cost-effectiveness within its segment. Nissan is also offering a comprehensive warranty package to bolster consumer confidence: a 5-year/150,000 km warranty covering both the vehicle and the e-Power system, alongside an impressive 10-year unlimited-mileage warranty for the high-voltage battery. This extensive coverage directly addresses concerns regarding battery longevity, making the e-Power system particularly well-suited for Malaysia’s year-round hot and humid climate.
Exterior and interior upgrades are the defining highlights of this facelift. The model features a completely redesigned front fascia, including a new hood, front bumper, and grille. Notably, the headlight range has been extended by 14 metres horizontally, significantly enhancing safety during night driving. At the rear, the taillights, tailgate, and bumper have also been fully revamped to project a more commanding road presence.

Two new exterior colours are added: Gray Sky Pearl and Electric Cyan. Higher trim levels also offer two-tone body options, specifically catering to the aesthetic preferences of younger buyers.

The vehicle retains its compact and practical dimensions, measuring 4,300mm in length, 1,760mm in width, 1,610mm in height, with a 2,620mm wheelbase and 175mm ground clearance. It is easy to manoeuvre and park in urban areas while offering ample space for family use. Inside, the rear seats support 60:40 split folding, with a standard boot capacity of 423 litres, providing plenty of storage for daily shopping and family trips.
Underneath, the chassis features a MacPherson strut independent suspension at the front and a torsion beam non-independent suspension at the rear, paired with 17-inch alloy wheels and Bridgestone Ecopia EP150 energy-saving tyres. This configuration strikes an ideal balance between ride comfort and fuel efficiency, adapting seamlessly to the diverse road conditions across Southeast Asia.

Inside the cabin, the overall quality is significantly elevated. A 7-inch digital instrument cluster is fitted as standard, while higher trims come with a 12.3-inch touchscreen, supporting wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Nissan CONNECT. Additional USB-C ports and a wireless charging pad are also included, perfectly catering to the demands of modern digital lifestyles.

The seats features a Zero Gravity design, wrapped in synthetic leather that reduces heat build-up – ideal for Malaysia's tropical climate. A 6-way power-adjustable driver's seat and front seat ventilation further enhance comfort on long journeys.
In terms of powertrain, the model retains Nissan's signature e-Power hybrid system. This unique architecture operates on an "engine-generated power, motor-driven wheels" principle, setting it apart from conventional hybrids. It is equipped with the HR12DE 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine, which acts solely as a generator to charge the 2.06 kWh lithium-ion battery, rather than directly driving the wheels.
The EM47 electric motor delivers 136 horsepower and 280 Nm of peak torque, enabling a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of just 9.5 seconds. Drivers can choose from four modes: Eco, Normal, Sport and EV, balancing smooth urban commuting and fuel efficiency. The 41-litre fuel tank supports long-distance travel, eliminating the range anxiety associated with fully electric vehicles.

Safety and intelligent features have also been upgraded. Higher trims are equipped with the ProPILOT advanced driver assistance system, integrating intelligent cruise control, lane keeping assist and lane departure prevention. Standard safety features include forward collision warning, autonomous emergency braking, driver attention alert, rear cross-traffic alert and 360-degree panoramic camera. Combined with multiple airbags and vehicle dynamic control, these specifications match the safety standards of higher-segment models.
For Malaysian consumers, the 2026 Nissan Kicks e-Power facelift strikes a perfect balance between electrified driving experience and day-to-day practicality. It offers pure electric-like driving feel without the need for external charging, paired with an affordable price tag and comprehensive after-sales support. If officially launched in Malaysia, it is set to become one of the most family-friendly electrified options in the B-segment SUV market.
