(JOHOR BAHRU, March 30, 2026) – Prominent local property developer Paragon Globe Berhad (PGLOBE) has announced a significant strategic shift following the signing of a partnership agreement with GSP Automotive Malaysia. GSP Automotive Malaysia is a subsidiary of the China-listed automotive parts giant, GSP Automotive Group. This high-profile collaboration aims to establish a modern, large-scale Automotive Industrial Hub in Iskandar Puteri, Johor.

This collaboration marks PGLOBE’s transformation from a conventional property developer into a "comprehensive ecosystem integrator". Under the plan, PGLOBE will allocate 47 acres—nearly half of its 109-acre land bank in Iskandar Puteri—to co-develop this specialized automotive supply chain hub with GSP. Beyond infrastructure, PGLOBE will assist with regulatory approvals. The project is bolstered by specialized financing from UOB Malaysia.
During the signing ceremony, Johor State EXCO for Investment, Trade, and Consumer Affairs, Lee Ting Han, noted that GSP Automotive—which exports to over 120 countries—will serve as the "lead enterprise" to drive industrial clustering.
He revealed that GSP plans to invest approximately USD 30 million in factory construction, with an additional USD 40 million for advanced production equipment. The establishment of this core enterprise is expected to attract total investments of up to RM 1 billion to Johor.
GSP Automotive CEO, Richard Zhou, stated that the project will create significant employment opportunities and bolster Johor's automotive industrial cluster. This follows the entry of SHB (Shenghuabo) into Senai Airport City last year, further highlighting Malaysia's core competitiveness in the Southeast Asian automotive supply chain.
This project is more than just industrial real estate development; it is a critical step for Johor towards a high-value economy. The hub will eventually encompass manufacturing, automated distribution centers, and R&D functions, strengthening the resilience of Malaysia's automotive industry.
