Great Wall Motor (GWM) has officially released the first images of its all-new flagship SUV. As the first rugged model built on the "Guiyuan Platform", the new vehicle showcases Haval's latest design language and marks a significant step in GWM's push for further global expansion.

The new flagship SUV adopts the currently popular "boxy" design language with clean, tough lines. It features a roof-mounted LiDAR sensor and a side-opening tailgate with an external spare tire mount, striking an excellent balance between urban commuting and off-road capability.
Guiyuan Platform: This platform supports multiple powertrains, including petrol, diesel, pure electric, hybrid, and hydrogen. This means the new model is highly likely to offer HEV (Hybrid) or PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid) versions in the future, aligning perfectly with Malaysia's ongoing energy transition.
Name Pending: GWM has officially launched a global naming campaign for the new model. Public voting is expected to begin on April 10, with full specifications and pricing to be announced in due course.

The launch of this new flagship SUV holds significant importance for the Malaysian market. Looking at GWM Malaysia's recent trajectory, the strategic intent is clear.
Strong Growth: GWM has shown impressive momentum in Malaysia, recording a remarkable 177% year-on-year sales growth in 2025, with market confidence growing rapidly.
Ambitious Goal: Great Wall Motor has set an aggressive target to achieve annual sales of 60,000 units in Malaysia by 2028.
Lineup Expansion: Following the strong performance of models such as the Tank 300 and Haval H6 HEV, this higher-positioned "boxy" flagship SUV is highly likely to be introduced in Right-Hand Drive (RHD) specification. It is expected to further strengthen GWM's SUV lineup and directly challenge the premium RM200,000+ market segment.
If this model is launched in Malaysia as a hybrid model and maintains GWM's tradition of high specifications and strong value, it could become a major catalyst in helping the brand achieve its ambitious 60,000-unit annual sales target by 2028.
