AMA02 Proton Saga Cross / X30 rendered, best look yet?

The latest round of spyshots of the upcoming AMA02 Proton Saga Cross (or Proton X30) revealed a host of new details, including headlight and tail light shapes and grille design.

Given these new details, our friend Theottle recently went to town with his latest rendition of how he imagines the AMA02 Proton X30 could potentially look like.

In his renders, he adapted the Honda WR-V (only as a visual base, as the real car is NOT based on the Honda) as the base of the AMA02 X30, giving it the front fascia as adapted from the camouflaged cars.

Ditto for the rear, as Theottle adapted bits of the camouflaged car to his render.

The end result, at least according to Theottle’s render, is a handsome-looking A-segment SUV that could potentially be Proton’s next hot cake. If anything, Malaysian consumers love SUVs, as evident from sales of the Proton X50. Since the model’s launch here in 2020, Proton has sold over 171,000 examples of this B-segment SUV.

Mass production of the AMA02 Proton X30 is slated to commence in late-October 2026, indicating that the market launch should happen before 2026 ends.
