JETOUR Malaysia has officially launched the JETOUR T2 i-DM in Malaysia. The plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) which brings a rugged, adventure oriented design paired with an electrified powertrain capable of delivering up to 1,200 km of combined driving range.

Priced at RM 162,800, the launch of the T2 i-DM introduces JETOUR’s Intelligent Dual-Mode (i-DM) hybrid technology to local drivers under the brand’s signature ‘Travel+’ philosophy.

Performance & Powertrain

Under the bonnet, the JETOUR T2 i-DM pairs a 1.5-litre TGDi dedicated hybrid engine with a 3-speed dedicated hybrid transmission and a dual-motor electric drive system.

The i-DM hybrid setup dynamically switches across five key operating scenarios to optimize performance and battery utilization:

EV Drive: Operates purely on electric power for low-speed and residential driving.
Series Hybrid: Handles heavy urban traffic efficiently.
Dual Power Boost: Engages both engine and motor outputs for rapid overtaking and hill climbs.
Parallel Hybrid: Optimises efficiency during high-speed highway cruising.
Regenerative Braking: Recovers kinetic energy during deceleration and downhill driving.

Battery & Charging Capabilities

The T2 i-DM is equipped with an 18.4 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack. The battery construction features an IP68 dust and water resistance rating, high temperature protection, high voltage rapid power cut off and reinforced underbody casing.

Additionally the T2 i-DM features Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capabilities delivering up to 3.3 kW, enabling owners to power external appliances and electronic devices during outdoor activities.

Charging Times & Options:

DC Fast Charging (57 kW): 30% to 80% SoC in under 27 minutes.
AC Wallbox Charging (6.6 kW): 30% to 100% SoC in under 3 hours.
AC Portable Charging (2.2 kW): 30% to 100% SoC in approximately 6 hours.

JETOUR Insurance Programme:

Owners are covered under the JETOUR Insurance Programme, which provides up to RM 5,000 coverage for the 7 kW AC wallbox charger and up to RM 50,000 third-party personal liability coverage for EV charger-related incidents. Additionally, Special Perils Coverage is being offered on a campaign basis to the first 2,000 registered owners (or until February 28, 2027).
