Malaysia-based Autoguard APAC signs MoU with Indonesia’s PERIKLINDO for EV warranty partnership

Autoguard Group Asia-Pacific has signed a memorandum of understanding with Indonesia’s Electric Vehicle Industry Association, PERIKLINDO, paving the way for the company to become the association’s preferred EV warranty provider.

The agreement was signed at the PERIKLINDO Electric Vehicle Conference (PEVC) 2026, held at the Mövenpick Hotel Jakarta City Centre.

With its regional headquarters in Kuala Lumpur, Autoguard APAC will work with the association to develop dedicated EV warranty solutions for Indonesia’s growing electric vehicle market.

Extended warranty support for the EV industry

The partnership forms part of Autoguard’s regional expansion, with extended warranty services aimed at vehicle manufacturers, importers and dealer networks.

Autoguard opened its first dedicated APAC office earlier this year. The Kuala Lumpur operation serves as its base for the wider region, with a focus on customer service and additional revenue opportunities for dealerships.

The company has also invested in technology to streamline claims processing as it expands its automotive aftersales business.

Jamie Francis Morais, business development director of Autoguard Group APAC, said the PERIKLINDO agreement demonstrates the company’s commitment to the region.

He added that the combination of its warranty expertise, claims-processing improvements and customer service focus would support the development of EV-specific coverage as electrification gathers pace.

PEVC 2026 brings together 500 industry representatives

The signing took place during PEVC 2026, organised by PERIKLINDO in collaboration with Gemalindo.

The conference moved to Jakarta to accommodate its growing network of partners and welcomed 500 representatives, including policymakers, corporate leaders, venture capitalists and international delegates from markets such as China, Taiwan and South Korea.

Held under the theme “The Future of a Clean and Efficient Mobility”, the event showcased EV technologies and provided opportunities for business partnerships across the industry.

Its agenda also focused on strengthening Indonesia’s position in the global EV supply chain and supporting economic development through electrified mobility.
