Button galore: Geely Galaxy Cruiser 700 interior revealed ahead of launch

Geely has released official interior images of the upcoming Cruiser 700, previewing a cabin built around a large floating touchscreen and a full-width digital instrument display. The model is expected to launch in China in the near future.

The Cruiser 700's cabin blends contemporary tech-forward design with the mechanical, rugged character expected of a hardcore off-roader. A large floating centre touchscreen anchors the dashboard, paired with a digital instrument cluster that spans the width of the dash — positioned so the front passenger can also view instrument information directly ahead of them.

Despite the tech-heavy displays, Geely has retained a substantial bank of physical buttons below the centre screen, along with a physical gear selector and a rotary drive-mode selector. Other equipment includes a panoramic sunroof, physical sunshades, and headrest-integrated speakers for front occupants.

The Geely Cruiser 700 departs from the boxy, purely utilitarian styling typical of traditional hardcore off-roaders. Its front end features a design language Geely describes as inspired by the Eastern guardian lion, with a full-width daytime running light bar and an illuminated Galaxy logo at the centre, flanked by the headlight clusters to boost visual identity.

At the rear, the design is clean and simple, with vertical rounded-rectangle taillights using a layered light source for strong visibility at night. A side-hinged tailgate with an externally mounted spare wheel nods to classic off-roader design, while a wide, reinforced rear bumper and extensive underbody skid plates reinforce its rugged positioning.

The Cruiser 700 will be powered by a three-motor, four-wheel-drive plug-in hybrid system producing a combined output of 830 kW, paired with a differential lock. Geely states the model achieves a power-to-weight ratio of 392hp per tonne, intended to deliver strong launch and sustained climbing performance in desert dune conditions.
