Lynk & Co 07 GT launched in China from RM 86k, any luck for Malaysia?

Lynk & Co has officially launched the 2026 Lynk & Co 07 GT in China, marking the brand's first-ever estate (wagon) model. Four variants are available, with introductory promotional pricing ranging from RMB 145,800 to RMB 196,800 (~RM 88k to RM 118k).

The company also revealed that the 07 GT received over 35,000 orders within 24 days of opening pre-orders.

The 2026 Lynk & Co 07 GT adopts the brand's latest 'The Next Day' design language, featuring a low-slung front end, sleek roofline and a pronounced rear section that combines the practicality of an estate with a sporty stance.

A roof-mounted LiDAR sensor is also fitted, indicating the availability of Lynk & Co's latest advanced driver assistance system.

Designed with practicality in mind, the powered tailgate opens to a maximum height of 1,863 mm with a 72.5-degree opening angle, allowing easier loading of larger items such as bicycles, baby strollers and camping equipment.

The estate also comes equipped with a factory-fitted retractable electric tow hitch, offering a towing capacity of 1.6 tonnes and a maximum vertical load of 64 kg, making it suitable for towing caravans, motorcycles or bicycle carriers.

A four-point roof rail mounting system is also standard, supporting a dynamic roof load of up to 100 kg, exceeding the 75 kg commonly offered by rivals.

Inside, the 07 GT features a wraparound cabin design with multiple interior colour options, including Fjord Green and Long Beach White.

The cabin offers 36 storage compartments, while the rear seats fold flat to maximise luggage capacity for long-distance travel or outdoor activities.

Technology highlights include the LYNK Flyme Auto 2.5 infotainment system, paired with Lynk & Co's physical Eva AI assistant for voice and smart vehicle interaction.

Customers can also opt for a factory-developed performance package featuring a dry carbon fibre rear wing, aerodynamic body kit and four-piston performance brake calipers.

Power comes from Geely's latest EM-P plug-in hybrid (PHEV)system, comprising of a turbocharged 1.5-litre four-cylinder BHE15-CFZ petrol engine, mated to a choice of a single- or dual-motor config.

The former offers a combined system output of 408 PS and 615 Nm, while the Ultra variant with its additional rear-mounted motor offers a combined output of 530 PS and 765 Nm.

Regardless of variant, the 07GT features a 28.3 kWh battery pack, which helps to achieve a CLTC combined driving range of up to 1,422 km, while the battery capacity is sufficient for most owners to complete a week's worth of commuting on a single charge.

Alongside the launch of the production model, Lynk & Co also unveiled the 07 GT Rally Car, confirming plans to compete in this year's China Rally Championship (CRC).

The company also announced the establishment of the Lynk Rally Academy, aimed at supporting future motorsport development alongside its expanding performance vehicle portfolio.

What about Malaysia?

Don't hold your breath for the arrival of the Lynk & Co 07 GT here, despite the company mentioning that they will enter "Russia, Malaysia, Australia, and New Zealand" by 2025 way back in 2021

2025 came and gone and there's still no sign of any right-hand drive (RHD) Lynk & Co models. Like other Lynk & Co models, the 07 GT will likely remain as a LHD-only model.
