Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live draws over 50,000 fans in Malaysia, breaks ticket sales record – Stunt Show coming in 2027

Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live: Glow-N-Fire made its Asian debut in Kuala Lumpur from October 16 to 18, 2026, attracting more than 50,000 spectators across five shows at the Unifi Arena in Bukit Jalil.

The three-day event also broke the touring show's single-day ticket sales record, with 21,000 tickets sold on the opening day, making it the highest single-day figure in Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live history.

First launched in Edinburg, Texas, in 2019, Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live has since toured North America, Europe, Latin America, Australia and New Zealand. Malaysia marked its first stop in Asia.

Produced by Family Entertainment Live, the Malaysian leg was co-organised by MUSE Group Asia and Unik Squad.

Seven monster trucks take over Bukit Jalil

The show featured seven monster trucks, including familiar Hot Wheels favourites such as Mega-Wrex, Tiger Shark, Gunkster, Bone Shaker, BIGFOOT and Skelesaurus.

Making its appearance in this year's Glow-N-Fire production was Rhinomite, a rhino-themed monster truck joining the existing lineup.

The trucks and their respective drivers were:

  • Rhinomite: Darron Schnell
  • Skelesaurus: Nick Migues
  • Gunkster: Rick Steffens
  • Mega-Wrex: Kristen Migues
  • Bone Shaker: Cameron Tweedy
  • Tiger Shark: Chris Walker
  • BIGFOOT: Rebecca Schnell

Throughout the performances, spectators were treated to monster truck jumps, stunts and car-crushing action, alongside freestyle motocross (FMX) riders performing aerial motorcycle tricks.

Another attraction was a fire-breathing robotic dinosaur, adding another element to the Glow-N-Fire production.

Fans get up close with the monster trucks

Those who purchased the VIP Pre-Show Experience were given access to the arena floor before the main event, allowing them to see the monster trucks up close and meet their drivers.

The experience also included autograph opportunities, giving fans a chance to interact with the people behind the wheel.

Collectors, meanwhile, could purchase a limited-edition show-exclusive Hot Wheels Monster Truck, featuring design elements from several vehicles in the lineup, including Bone Shaker, Tiger Shark, BIGFOOT, Skelesaurus, Mega-Wrex and Rhinomite.

Hot Wheels Stunt Show coming to Malaysia in 2027

Following the Monster Trucks Live event, organisers also teased the arrival of the Hot Wheels Stunt Show in Malaysia in 2027, bringing another live automotive spectacle to local audiences.

Unlike Monster Trucks Live, which focuses on oversized trucks performing jumps and crushing cars, the Hot Wheels Stunt Show features stunt cars inspired by the famous die-cast toy range.

The international production includes professional stunt drivers performing precision drifting, ramp jumps, two-wheel driving and other driving manoeuvres.

One of its main attractions is a 45-foot (13.7-metre) vertical Super Loop, where a specially prepared car drives through a giant loop inspired by the orange tracks associated with Hot Wheels toys.

The show also features life-sized interpretations of Hot Wheels vehicles such as the Bone Shaker, GT Scorcher and Rodger Dodger, alongside motorcycles, quad bikes and other modified stunt vehicles.

The Malaysian edition is expected to take place in November 2027, although the exact dates, venue and ticket prices have yet to be announced.

With more than 50,000 fans attending Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live's first Asian stop, the upcoming Stunt Show will give Malaysian audiences another chance to see the world of Hot Wheels brought to life on a much larger scale.
