BYD Rawang opens in Malaysia with local art showcase and launch offers

BYD Sime Motors has expanded its Klang Valley retail footprint with the opening of BYD Rawang, a new showroom operated by BE Autohaus under BE Group.

The outlet is BE Group’s third BYD showroom after Setia Alam and Kota Kemuning, bringing the brand’s electric vehicle range closer to buyers in Rawang and surrounding areas.

Overview

BYD Rawang sits on a 10,803 sq ft site, while the showroom itself spans 4,298 sq ft. It has space for up to five display vehicles, along with a customer lounge and a dedicated vehicle-delivery room.

The showroom adopts a European-inspired design, featuring light-coloured finishes, balanced proportions and subtle castle-inspired touches. More importantly for prospective buyers, it gives customers in northern Klang Valley another location to view and test-drive BYD models.

More than a conventional showroom

What makes BYD Rawang different is its dedicated space for emerging local artists.

The showroom will host quarterly exhibitions, where selected artists can display and sell their work for three months at a time. Participating artists will keep the full proceeds from any artwork sold, as BYD Rawang will not charge a commission.

Submission details and eligibility requirements will be announced through BYD Rawang’s official social-media channels.

Andrew Tay, Managing Director of BE Group, said the outlet is intended to be both a welcoming space for BYD customers and a platform that contributes to the local community.

BE Group’s third BYD outlet

BE Group joined the BYD dealer network in November 2022 with BYD Setia Alam, operated by BE Drive Auto. It later opened BYD Kota Kemuning under BE Motorworld in September 2024.

The new Rawang outlet, operated by BE Autohaus, is its third BYD showroom. As of September 2026, BE Group says it had delivered 2,250 BYD vehicles nationwide.

BYD Sime Motors says its wider Malaysian network currently comprises 45 sales and marketing outlets, 33 aftersales facilities and 16 body-and-paint centres.

Launch open house until 30 October 2026

To mark the opening, BYD Rawang is holding a launch open house from 19 to 30 October 2026.

Visitors can take part in test drives, check out selected launch-period offers on BYD models and enter lucky draws when making a booking during the event. The showroom’s inaugural local-art exhibition will also be on display.

For more information, customers can contact BYD Sime Motors at 1300-38-1888 or visit its official website.
