Alfa Romeo has unveiled the Cuorerosso concept ahead of the 2026 Paris Motor Show. It pairs a 2.9-litre twin-turbocharged V6 engine with a hybrid system and weighs just 1,750 kg.
The concept will also be on display at the show.

Designed at Alfa Romeo's Centro Stile in Turin, the Cuorerosso follows the philosophy of Bellezza Necessaria, or necessary beauty. The idea is to strip away unnecessary embellishment and bring design, function and technology together in a more purposeful form.

The name Cuorerosso combines the Italian words cuore (heart) and rosso (red), reflecting Alfa Romeo's focus on the emotional side of driving as well as its long-standing association with the colour red.
The concept measures 4,700 mm long, 1,980 mm wide and 1,331 mm tall, with a 2,930 mm wheelbase. Its low-slung proportions give it the stance of a grand touring coupé. At just 1,331 mm tall, it sits at a similar height to the Aston Martin DB12.

At the front, Alfa Romeo's signature Scudetto grille has been reinterpreted as a triangular, illuminated LED matrix. Paired with the welcome lighting sequence, it produces a pulsing effect designed to resemble a heartbeat.
The concept's bespoke Liquid Ink Red paint is another standout feature. It appears vivid red when viewed head-on, then shifts towards a deep black as the viewing angle and light change, giving the bodywork a more dramatic look.

Along the sides, sharp, wedge-shaped lines give the body a muscular profile. Flush glazing, integrated brand emblems and a roof-mounted touch-entry system do away with conventional door handles, helping to reduce aerodynamic drag.

At the rear, a Coda Tronca, or truncated tail, pays tribute to the classic Alfa Romeo SZ of the 1960s. Hidden circular brake lights and a low-mounted rear diffuser complete the design. Alfa Romeo quotes a drag coefficient of 0.28.
The cabin puts the driver at the centre of the experience, following the minimalist approach seen in the Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale.

The centrepiece is the Cannocchiale Vivente, a digital take on Alfa Romeo's traditional twin-pod instrument cluster. It has two display modes.
In Immersivo (Immersive) mode, the twin-dial layout remains in place, displaying information such as speed and engine revs. In Concentrato (Focused) mode, the two dials merge into a single central display showing only the key driving information. The layout also adapts to the selected driving mode: Cruise, Sport or Quadrifoglio.
Alfa Romeo says the system will also feature in future production models.

On the centre console, the Magma Display system brings together a touchscreen, physical rotary controls and a driving-mode selector. Alfa Romeo describes this approach as "Phygital", combining physical controls with digital interfaces.
When activated, red light appears to glow through the display's magma-like pattern, creating a pulsing effect. Frequently used functions, including the audio and climate controls, retain physical knobs, in keeping with the concept's principle of making technology work around the cabin design rather than dominate it.
The cabin's red trim also fades from a deeper shade around the driver's seat to a lighter tone towards the rear, creating a gradual shift in atmosphere through the interior.
The Cuorerosso pairs a 2.9-litre twin-turbocharged V6 with a hybrid system and comes with Alfa Romeo's Q4 all-wheel-drive system.

Alfa Romeo has yet to release full performance figures. For context, the Giulia GTAm produces 533 hp, and the additional electric assistance could push the Cuorerosso's combined output beyond 600 hp. That figure remains an estimate rather than a confirmed specification.
Despite the addition of a battery pack, the concept weighs 1,750 kg, with lightweight construction helping to keep its mass in check.
