The Perodua Traz emerged as Malaysia's best-selling SUV in July 2026, recording 2,244 registrations and taking the top spot from the Proton X50.

Proton's SUV lineup features two key players: the X50 and the X70. Separated by just a single digit in their names, their prices differ by nearly RM20,000. Many buyers find themselves pacing back and forth in the showroom, looking at the X50 on one side and the X70 on the other, struggling to make a decision.

In December 2025, the Perodua Traz officially hit the market, with its entry price of RM76,100 instantly making it the talk of the B-segment SUV market. In its debut month, it registered 1,901 sales, spot-on with the manufacturer's monthly target. By the first half of 2026, cumulative registrations reached 10,753 units, securing ninth spot overall among all models.
