Good news for racing game enthusiasts and Xiaomi fans in Malaysia!
Xiaomi founder, chairman and CEO Lei Jun announced on social media today that the Xiaomi Vision GT will officially join Gran Turismo 7 at 2 pm on 15 October.

This makes Xiaomi Vision GT the first Vision Gran Turismo concept car from a Chinese automotive brand to feature in the series, marking a milestone for Chinese automotive design in the world of virtual racing.
Since its unveiling, the Xiaomi Vision GT has sparked speculation among car enthusiasts about whether a production version might eventually follow.
Xiaomi, however, has made its position clear: the Vision GT will not enter production.

Vision Gran Turismo is a long-running project that invites leading car manufacturers from around the world to create their dream performance cars, free from the technical, material and manufacturing constraints of real-world production.
The aim is to explore what the ultimate driving experience of the future could look like.
For Xiaomi, the Vision GT project is also an opportunity to demonstrate its design ambitions alongside its expertise in technology.
The Xiaomi Vision GT follows a design philosophy described as "Sculpted by the Wind", with smooth, flowing surfaces taking the place of sharp, deliberately sculpted edges.
The design team set out to meet demanding aerodynamic requirements without relying on additional exterior attachments.

Teardrop-shaped cabin: The body has been designed as one continuous form, with a cabin resembling a suspended droplet of water. Every surface is aerodynamically optimised, while the structural elements feature airfoil-shaped profiles to create a clean, streamlined appearance.
Signature Xiaomi design elements: Xiaomi's global design team has integrated aerodynamic functions into the car's familiar styling cues. The signature cross-shaped headlights are incorporated into the bodywork and help channel airflow, while the distinctive halo taillights form part of the rear air ducts.
Aerodynamic features: Other details include openings that channel air through the body, carefully engineered underbody airflow management, translucent accretion rims with a magnetic levitation design, and an active wake control system at the rear.

According to Xiaomi's simulation results, the Vision GT achieves an aerodynamic efficiency figure of 4.1 and a drag coefficient (Cd) of just 0.29. It also generates a reported downforce coefficient of -1.2 at high speeds.
Inside, Xiaomi has adopted what it calls the "Sofa Racer" concept, combining the focused driving environment of a racing car with the comfort of a lounge.

The result is an immersive, cocoon-like cabin designed to make the driver feel connected to the car without sacrificing comfort.
At the centre of the interior is Xiaomi's "Ring" cockpit, which incorporates the company's Super XiaoAI voice assistant and AI capabilities powered by its Xiaomi MiMo large language model.
The system is designed to recognise and anticipate the driver's intentions, responding through lighting, sound and tactile feedback.
The Vision GT also incorporates Xiaomi's Human × Car × Home ecosystem, bringing together the company's connected technologies in a concept that aims to blur the boundaries between virtual and real-world driving.
