Yangwang, BYD's ultra-luxury marque, has released the first teaser images of its new flagship sedan, the Yangwang ALTIOR (仰望鼎曜). The model is set to make its debut in the UAE, although BYD has yet to announce a launch date or reveal full specifications.

Unlike the sportier Yangwang U7, the ALTIOR appears to take a more traditional approach to luxury sedan design. The teaser images show a long body, an upright profile and a straight shoulder line, giving the car a more formal and graceful appearance.

Spy shots also reveal a separate triangular window behind the C-pillar. Along with the car's substantial proportions, this detail suggests that rear-seat space and passenger comfort are key priorities.

One of the most distinctive features spotted so far is the use of rear-hinged rear doors (also called suicide doors), often associated with chauffeur-driven luxury cars.
The design gives the ALTIOR a different character from most electric executive sedans and should make it easier for rear passengers to get in and out.

A LiDAR sensor can be seen mounted near the front of the roof, indicating that advanced driver assistance technology is likely to feature.
The prototype has also been spotted undergoing tests on ramps and high-speed circuits, as well as at charging stations. These tests suggest that development is covering the car's chassis, powertrain and charging performance.
The ALTIOR is also expected to use Yangwang's e⁴ four-motor independent drive system and DiSus intelligent body control system, though neither has been officially confirmed for this model.
Industry estimates suggest the new flagship could be priced over RMB 2 million, putting it firmly in the ultra-luxury segment.
