Toyota Innova Hycross (Zenix) facelift spied in India; pic via GaadiWaadi
Toyota has started road testing the facelifted Innova Hycross in India, with the first spy shots published by GaadiWaadi. Hycross is the Indian-market name for the model Malaysians know as the Toyota Innova Zenix, making this update relevant to our market if the same changes are eventually introduced here.
The test unit was heavily camouflaged, but it points to a fairly clear mid-life update for Toyota’s three-row MPV. The front end is expected to receive a redesigned grille, revised bumper, slimmer LED headlamps and a new daytime running light signature. The bonnet also appears to have been lightly reworked, although the overall body proportions and dimensions are expected to remain largely unchanged.

From the side, the facelifted Innova Hycross still carries the familiar MPV profile, window line and roof rail layout. The door handles and side mirrors appear to be carried over, while the prototype also seems to be using a similar alloy wheel design to the current model.
The rear was also covered, but changes are expected there as well. These could include revised LED tail lamps with a new internal lighting pattern, a redesigned rear bumper and fresh trim pieces to help separate the facelift from the outgoing version.
Inside, Toyota is expected to make smaller equipment and material updates rather than a full cabin redesign. Higher variants could receive an updated infotainment interface, a refreshed instrument cluster, revised upholstery, more soft-touch materials and additional connected-car functions.

The Innova Zenix as sold in Malaysia currently.
For Malaysia, Toyota has not confirmed any timing for an updated Innova Zenix. However, if the changes eventually carry over, buyers can expect a sharper exterior, updated lighting and some interior feature improvements while keeping the same practical hybrid MPV formula.
