Tesla has officially crossed a major milestone in its brand history.
On July 30, 2026, the company announced that its cumulative global production has surpassed the 10 million unit mark, making it the first BEV automaker in the world to achieve this feat.

Back in 2006, when Tesla rolled out its first Roadster prototype, many viewed electric vehicles with skepticism.
Now, after two decades of steady technological iteration, Tesla has not only reshaped the global automotive landscape but also pushed new energy vehicles from a niche product into the absolute mainstream.
It delivered over 480,000 cars globally in the second quarter of 2026, up 25% year-on-year, according to Tesla's Q2 2026 financial report. Total revenue for the quarter reached $28.2 billion, a 26% increase compared to the same period last year.

Gigafactory Shanghai, acting as the brand's critical manufacturing hub, put up stellar numbers. The plant hit a year-to-date high in June by delivering 89,000 vehicles.
Over the past six and a half years, Giga Shanghai has produced over 4.5 million vehicles, accounting for nearly half of Tesla's cumulative global volume.
