2026 Honda City facelift launched in Malaysia: S dropped, price unchanged, from RM 89,900

Honda Malaysia has launched the 2026 Honda City facelift, bringing revised styling and more equipment to its ever-popular B-segment sedan.

This comes after its simultaneous global debut in Thailand and India on 22 May 2026.

Overview

This update exercise marks the second facelift exercise for the fifth-generation Honda City; unprecedented in the Honda City's history.

2026 Honda City 1.5 E: RM 89,900
2026 Honda City 1.5 V: RM 94,900
2026 Honda City 1.5 RS: RM 99,900
2026 Honda City 1.5 e:HEV RS: RM 111,900

For what it's worth, the pre-updated model's S variant has been dropped, meaning that the entry City is now the RM 90k E variant. That said, despite adding more kit, prices are unchanged from before.

As before, the 2026 Honda City facelift is locally-assembled (CKD) in Honda's plant in Melaka.

Exterior

Up front, the City gets overhauled with slimmer headlights and a revised grille, with the top-spec RS variant adding a light bar. Mind you, despite these headlights being slimmer than before, they offer projector LED units, as opposed to the previous model's reflector LED units.

There's also a pair of air curtains on the sides of the new front bumper. The RS can also be identified by its new 16-inch alloy wheels and smoked LED tail lights.

Colour options include Blazing Red Pearl, Meteoroid Gray Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, Stellar Diamond Pearl - the latter is exclusive for the 1.5 V and 1.5 RS variants.

Interior

The main addition is a 10-inch touchscreen, offered from the V variant upwards. Its upgraded 360-degree camera includes multiple viewing angles and moving object detection.

The RS also gains revised trim and ambient lighting, while the e:HEV RS adds a wireless charger. Look closely and you'll also notice that the City also adds variable intermittent wiper controls.

Powertrain

Petrol variants retain the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated engine with 121 PS and 145 Nm, paired with a CVT.

The e:HEV continues with a 1.5-litre hybrid system, featuring a drive motor producing 109 PS and 253 Nm.
