On 7 September 2026, Stellantis Malaysia announced the commencement of local assembly (CKD) for the Leapmotor B10 and C10 at its Gurun plant in Kedah.

The B10 lineup has been streamlined from the previous CBU Life and Design variants into a sole Design variant, with pricing unchanged at RM118,800.

Launched in June 2026, the Proton eMas 7 Premium Plus is fitted with a 68.39 kWh battery offering a 450 km WLTP-rated range. Officially priced at RM125,800, an ongoing limited-time rebate of RM7,000 brings its effective price down to RM118,800.

With identical post-rebate purchase prices, this sets the stage for a proper head-to-head clash.

Pricing and Market Positioning

Meanwhile, the Proton eMas 7 Premium Plus carries an official sticker price of RM125,800, but a limited-time RM7,000 rebate matches its net price to RM118,800.

Although both take the same time on a DC fast charger, the B10 boasts a 53 kW higher peak capacity, allowing it to sustain peak charging speeds longer on high-output ultra-fast DC chargers. When charging on AC at home or destination chargers, the B10 completes a full charge 1.1 hours faster.

The Proton eMas 7 Premium Plus measures 4,615 mm long, 1,901 mm wide, and 1,670 mm tall, with a 2,750 mm wheelbase and a standard boot volume of 461 litres.

Across length, width, height, and wheelbase, the eMas 7 is physically larger than the B10, offering an extra 31 litres of default luggage room.

However, the B10's more compact proportions make it nimbler in urban traffic, while its frunk provides dedicated storage for charging cables and smaller items. Both are 5-seaters, but the eMas 7 delivers slightly more rear legroom and overall load-lugging capacity.

Equipment and Features

The Leapmotor B10 Design comes with a 14.6-inch 2.5K infotainment screen and an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster. It runs on Leap OS 4.0 Plus driven by a Qualcomm Snapdragon SA8155 processor, complete with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

Proton commits to a free 1-to-1 battery replacement if the State of Health (SOH) falls below 70% within the 8-year warranty window. Furthermore, Proton's extensive nationwide service network is something Leapmotor cannot match at present, with authorised service centre coverage far broader than Stellantis's developing footprint.
